Before I begin my plea for help, you must realise that I've had such a bad run with cars the past year; currently I have an '88 Honda Accord and she doesn't handle cold morning well. You have to turn her on, keep the revs up and steady until the engine begins to warm up. The problem is, yesterday I let it stall by accident and whenever I tried to start it up again she wouldn't go for the whole day. Just kept turning over and over and over, which was a pain in the ass because I was stuck at home for the whole of my day off. This morning, I hopped in, ready to go out, turned it on and, voila! Over night it decided to let itself boot up again. But, alas, I let it stall again by accident. Now it's done exactly the same thing for the whole day. Just keeps turning over, but won't start. So, I replaced the battery and topped her up with gas and it still won't start. I just hope that it'll start again tomorrow and I won't stall it in the morning, 'cuz I have work. :(

[Edit] The Central locking also locks and unlocks when turning over as well, could this be an electrical fault? It's as if there's no fuel for the spark plugs to ignite at all.. [/Edit]

Anybody know what's wrong with the damned thing? It never used to do this. Appreciate the help!

Teehee. Well I thought I'd give it a shot because that Harry Potter rubbish is spamming out every other post.

I happen to be a mechanic & from just what you told me, it sounds like an ignition problem. But, of course - I'd have to hook up a computer to it to positively diagnose it. Your best bet would be to check the ignition coil. But, really - your biggest problem is that you're driving a Honda. Sorry, had to say it. =P

Mm. I thought it may have been the spark plugs.. it sounds like there's no fuel to be sparked in there, even though I topped it up. :p I guess I'm gunna have to give up and tow it to a mechanics. Heck, I'm meant to be at work right now.
