I still believe Kobe is better than anyone on the Celtics, it's just, his team sucks. The Celtics has three all stars while LA has Kobe. Pau G. did nothing at all and Oden played horrible.

They lost to those teams because the Celtics are like the Pistons. They only play at the level their competition is at. Sure, the West may have two of the worst teams in the NBA, but it's not like that's the only teams every western team played every game. You say the western teams look great since they face horrible teams when the top 10 western teams would have been atleast 5th seed in the east. Also, how can you say the east is good when their number 8 seed barely reaches ~20-30 wins? Unless you are confusing the two conferences together I can not see how you think east is better than west.

The Celtics were over hyped, they hardly made it to the finals. If any of the top 10 west team were in the east I would have no doubt that they could easily be within the top 3.

Lebron did single handedly lead his team to the NBA championships last year. And to what 172.16.0.1 said, u said the east was weak but The Cavs were defeated this year by the team with the best record, the celtics in 7 games. that is an acomplishement in my books. they lost 2 the best. U cant say Kobe is a one man team any more. He has lots of help now. If he was so great why is it his team couldnt make it out the first round before gasol came on the team.

In my opinion, Kobe is still the best in the current league. He is basically a one man team with some help from Pau Gasol and occasionally Oden. Lebron has much potential but he has too much hype currently, he also is too cocky which brings my respect for him down substantially. One last thing, he can not lead his team to the semi-finals in a weak conference, the East.
