Please learn that 'no' means 'no, absolutely not'. I will not approve your game once it has been rejected unless it was an accident, and I will pager you if such an accident occurs. If I do not, please stop sending your games, as it only serves to further annoy me and make me more likely to reject further games.

To those submitting a game to BYOND Gaming

I have some guidelines for you:

1. If your game is based off an anime show (such as DBZ, Naruto, Bleach, Avatar, etc.), go away.
2. If your game is barely started (0%-10% progress, and/or Alpha), it will not be accepted.
3. If your game is never hosted, it will be removed.

Naruto GOA review

A review for Naruto GOA created by Masterdan

When I joined the game, I was brought to a complicated character creation screen with very little info on what todo, and where todo it. The first sighting of poor design was the type of characters you could choose, while there was a great amount of choices, they all seemed to be listed as, "/mob/human/player/template/naruto", do I really need to know what area under your code my character is going to be? While trying to get myself through this character creation screen, I quickly found myself lost as to how I should close said character creation screen and continue with the game. After looking at the top, I quickly noticed many lines of someone named Coolly15 attacking me, when I was on the character creation screen! Within 5-10 seconds I saw, "Strawgate has been killed by Coolly15"

I was killed during player creation! I couldn't believe it! Talk about poor game design. After continueing on my wonderful venture as to how I should go about closing this character creation screen, I noticed a strange button and clicked it, I then appeared on a screen which had many options, not having played this game before, and the lack of on screen instructions meant that none of this made sense to me, I clicked the Clan Skills button and was brought to a screen with a tech tree of sorts, but instead of names it was just icons, when clicked it named the skill, and gave a price. Not saying what the skill did combined with the price listed as scientific notation mean't that I got to deal with math the whole time figuring out how many BILLIONS something cost for me.

I walked out of the hospital I was in(Which no one ever told me I was in, I just figured it was a hospital), and quickly got attacked by someone who was 3-4 times my size, literally a giant trolling around me, attacking me. After a while of having no clue what todo, I noticed there is absolutely no chat filtering, and as the hub says, no admins to stop vulgar speech from continueing. After not knowing what todo for a short period, I realized I could change my OOC name, and I decided for fun I'd change it to someone elses name for fun, and guess what, it worked just fine, I could impersonate them all I wanted for about as long as I wanted. I walked out of the building and quickly evaded hostile players looking to kill me, after finding an NPC, I couldn't for the life of me figure out how to interact with the NPC, I just kept targeting it. The only action I could figure out with NPC's was whispering, which is strange to be whispering to a computer.) After I walked out of the NPC's building I quickly got attacked by another player, first in a move that probably wasted 20 seconds of my time, and another which wasted about 15, which ended with me dead, Guess where, in a hospital! I find it strange that you can commit murder outside the hospital but inside the hospital is strictly off limits, no safe zone where players can interact?

Next are the graphics, the graphics are wonderfully detailed, and are animated very well, however almost nothing is to scale. There are houses with doors smaller than the beds in the hospitals, and text above doors were near impossible to read unless I unleashed the wonderful colors that appear when my face hits the screen. The clothing that the NPC's wear make them look like eskimos, with small bodies and gigantic clothing. Most of the turfs(Grass and Water) are incredibly tiled looking, and take away from the appearance of the game. Not to mention the game doesnt have a gradual end to the map, it doesnt slowly gradient off to unpassable water, you literally hit a black wall, which takes away from the refined look of the graphics and map. The map is also funny shaped, looks kind of like a peice from tetris, with large amounts of space in between important areas as it would appear.

Lastly is the community, or the complete lack of a community, the OOC chat is littered with people complaining about dieing, or people complaining that other people are complaining about dieing. The OOC is mostly filled with vulgar speech and children who tell eachother to go die, and are complaining about people needing to be banned, but there are no admins so those requests go unfufilled.

Day 1: We've set up camp and started digging into the mountain. After unloading the cart we promptly destroyed it. Creating five workshops. Then we'll make doors and trap our fortress. Wish us luck.
