Did you know, that the world speed record for a bicycle is 152.2 mph. This is nearly 50 mph faster then the fastest solar car, and only 25 mph shy of the fastest hydrogen car.
The fastest land skateboarding speed record was around 80 or 90 mph, and that's only because the rider was being dragged by a motorcycle.

And he only managed that speed for a second, because at speeds like that, the board will become unstable, and a single twitch will make it spin and send the person on it flying.

I don't know how they managed 150 on a bike, but I can't help but wonder if the guy who made the record went to the hospital shortly after.
Keeth, according to my information he was behind the slipstream of a car. the setup looked like this, http://www.canosoarus.com/08LSRbicycle/Bicycle%20Images/ 152%20in%20tow.JPG

The man was a Olympic cyclist as well.
In my opinion that's cheating. That's like getting a car, tying it to a jet plane and going "hey look fastest car in the world going at the speed of sound".

Now if someone could cycle at 150 mph by their own strength- that'd be impressive.
Did you know that May 1'st is sometimes known as "Mayday?"
That is interesting.

I believe the slipstream reduced the air resistance of him to almost nothing, so it he can get pretty close.
