I agree =)
Well it depends
they are two diferent type of games
Zelda=Adventrue
most FF games=RP
i prefer FF over Zelda alot
I have always, and always will, prefer Zelda over Final Fantasy. I find FF boring and repetitive, where as Zelda is a change from game to game. But that's just my opinion.

They're both great. I like FF over Zelda even though it is very repetitive. They make up for it by being good games.

I like the Zelda series better, but I only really like all the pre N64 Zelda games. The overly large boring field and the water temple killed my interest in Zelda 64. My favorite Zelda game is the SNES one.

I liked the first three FF games all the ones for the famicom since they all were challenging and they were made back when squaresoft had the idea that gameplay was more important than plot.
I really like the old Zelda: A Link to the Past, for SNES. It was really fun. great gameplay, music, & replayiblility. (I beat it like 20 times, lol)

Buy a second.
It depends from which perspective you look at it...
In one case, Zelda is an awesomly developed RPG with a very popular theme of "Save the damsil in distress" with a touch of "Save the world at the same time". Gameplay wise and action wise, Zelda would dominate the current Final Fantasy series.
On the other hand, current Final Fantasy games are well thought out and play as if you were reading a book. The story modes and strategical battle concepts are barely matched by other competitors and graphically wise they rise to the top, In this perspective Final Fantasy games are the best.
I really like both of them, and seeing that they are two totally different types of game in reality, I really cannot make a correct judgement on what is "the best".
But my favorite games of both types would be both, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and Final Fantasy Tactics, depending on what type of mood I am in for entertainment. But when looking for both concepts I turn to Legend of Dragoon B-).

In somewhat recent arguments some say the Final Fantasy series kicks the Zelda series butt. Final Fantasy sure has huge areas to fight but it does involve 20 minutes of walking on foot to get from one side of the land to another once you do something its over you never need to go back there again.
Zelda has you explore and cross a large land where if you miss something you could most likely go back and still get it. The Zelda series doesn't follow the RPG fighting style but it does make the fighting more real by the way they do it (I mean come on can anyone honestly say they have been in a fight where you stand 50 feet away from a person, do some attack, then wait for them to do an attack). In Zelda you fight an enemy the way you would fight an enemy.
Another thing is in Zelda you only control one person, Link, (sometimes someone will follow you but that's is a bit different they cant do anything to help increasing the challenge of the game) some people may look at this as bad but it really is alot better.
Most of the stuff I have said leads up to one major thing even though all the weird creatures the play of all Zelda games (and gameplay) have been more realistic than Final Fantasy. Even though Final Fantasy has good story lines Zelda usually surpasses them in imagination and the skill needed to beat a Zelda game is much harder to have then in a game where a guy can hold a sword 5 times bigger than his body and swing it like a feather and still be able to block attacks.

In what war did they determine the winner by rolling dice? In what battles have they only let one army move at a time? That's why the games are simulations; they aren't real.

Well when you do a simulation you usually want to try and be as accurate as possible in what you are simulating. In a game it's similiar but you usually sacrifice some realism for gameplay.

I don't wanna start anything but do you really have to comment on my posts and make them look poor and bad. It's my opinion ok, and if you don't like it too bad. Your entitled to your own opinion too just don't be so harsh.
Zelda. Done and done(working on a Zelda game which is NOT however)
