Actually, it's Unisex. Sort of like a lazy name for parents who don't want to know the gender, or show no effort to naming their new infant.

Yes, I realized that after when someone told me about that and I looked it up. Considering I haven't played Checkers all of about three times total I wasn't totally keen on the knowledge there.

I was more of a Monopoly kind of kid when I was growing up.
