Which is the best console?I am confused and want to be convinced.

Xbox
- Live but you must pay
- Cheaper
- 3 ring of death problem
- Larger game file
- Best Co-op console
PS3
- Smaller Game Library
- Free Online GAMES!
- More expensive
- Blu Ray
- Better Graphics
[The console which I have purchased] is the better console, because people who use [the console which I have not purchased] are dumb morons, because they bought [the console which I have not purchased] which sucks and so is only bought by dumb people. Also, [random beneficial aspect of console which I have purchased] is better than [made-up detrimental aspect of console which I have not purchased].

[company that produces console which I have not purchased] lol.
Look at the games that are exclusive to each console. Which ever provides games that you are most interested in, buy that console.

As Garthor has demonstrated, this thread will end up as a bias console war argument.

Xbox Live is one of the better online experiences. In my opinion it simply "works" better then the PS3's own. I feel the $15.00 a month is well worth it.

The Xbox 360 is indeed cheaper, but if you want to get all the expansion packs for games, and download content, I suggest you get a unit with more memory. I got the Arcade kit and updates alone use up half my memory.

The 3 rings of death is no longer a problem unless you have a older model unit or you are doing something stupid like keeping your Xbox 360 in a closed cabinet. Most if not all newer units have the jasper chipset which helps out greatly. Not only that, Microsoft does repair the RROD for free.

What do you mean larger game file?

PS3

- Blu Ray

Yeah it does have a smaller game library, not only that, a majority of it's top games were all released on the Xbox 360 first. And the Xbox 360 runs those games better.

BluRay is over-rated if you ask me. I don't use it to watch DVD's so it's already going to waste for me.

Better Graphics is a matter of the game release and the developer. I have seen some god awful looking games released on the PS3. And most of the ones released on the Xbox 360 suffer more on the PS3 hardware.

I have a Xbox 360, I love it. During tax season I may buy a PS3, but only for Little Big Planet and White Knight Chronicles.
Well, I have both consoles, I have four xbox 360s and 1 PS3. If you don't already realize, Xbox 360 is better if you like hardcore gaming(Halo, For say) but if you enjoy fun sandbox and screw-around games, go for the PS3.

That's exactly how I said in other posts and people just call me a PS3 Fan Boy. (*cough H D cough*)
Except, I have never owned a video game console. o_o
So my personal experience is by real unbiased experience.
But I totally agree with you.
X Box 360 = Gaming (Built more towards Gaming, despite their earlier flaw of an ugly short life).
PS3 = Fancy Looking Box (Built more like a Personal Computer, rather than a Console).

lmfao@you saying 360 is better because of Halo. Hardcore = Halo? I assume you think the Beatles are also the most brutal death metal band, too.

Halo = casual, unbalanced-but-fun-in-certain-doses fun.
Both are good consoles now that the PS3 isn't boasting a 600$ pricetag.
Wrong, wrong and wrong. PSN and XBL are quite similar, the only difference is one's free. But hey, 20$ a year isn't bad (pretty sure that's XBL's cost) when your guaranteed better, less-laggy online play. XBL being around longer means jack squat, if Sony wanted to "rush up to the competition", they could've done a quick overhaul.

Interesting you say unbiased, yet you insult the PS3 while saying the 360's bad lifespan is an "early problem".

E74 error. Learn about it, read it, hate it.
Disk-tray problems. Learn about, read it, hate it.
Then again, the PS3 has it's own issues, topics like these are rather pointless.

0_0 4 xboxs , dude give me one lol. What about the 3 rings of death i am hearing about about xbox. I dont want to buy something that cost money and then for it to fail on me so easily.

Red Ring of Death and E74 happen randomly. The general rule of thumb is to have the 360 properly ventilated, make sure it isn't on for absurd amounts of time, etc. It'll happen eventually unless you play it like 2 hours a day.

RRoD/E74 are thankfully under a 3 year warranty (If it happens within 3 years after buying the console, they'll fix it for free).

What the hell are you talking about, you never said that exact phrase. Stop smoking crack.
Well each really depends on the person buying it.

I started with an xbox, I loved most the games, until i ran into the red ring of death. Luckily Microsoft repaired it for free and gave me 1 month of free live. So I got on live for awhile after that. The monthly payment can instantly kill the system for a lot of people. Namely the audience of 12 - 16 year olds whose parents more then likely won't shell cash for this kind of purchase. Takes a bit of saving up to get a live package at that age too.

After awhile the xbox broke yet again. This time in the most horrid of manners. The disk tray had came slightly off balance somehow and 1 times out of 10 would insert the disk wrong. That disk would never be played again. Soo, traded that in then and there for a PS3.

by this time I had bought a medium sized HDTV, had wifi etc. So the PS3 fit my bill perfectly. The game library is a bit smaller, but nothing time can't and hasn't already started to cure. The only real thing I miss about my xbox is my oblivion saves.

Also I don't see it mentioned here, so I will. If you own a PSP you might already know that you can purchase full games from the PSN. Full games like Spyro and Crash and Final Fantasy 7. Games I never thought to see again <3

Yeah, I'd rather not buy (potentionally buggy,) overpriced ports. Thank god you can either hack your PSP to play it, or if you have a PS3 anyway, just buy the game used...
In my experience the X-Box 360 is louder than most Vacuum Hoovers, and the PS3 requires you to virtually install every single game as if you are running a PC.

Perhaps I'm just really old but I don't think there is such thing as a console any more.

Oh cartridges, how I miss them.

But yes, I agree. The line between console and PC is getting more and more blurred with every generation.

Ever moreso knowing the PS3 is stronger than modern PCs. Except it's disc-reader is horrible, as with all Sony disc-readers, sadly.

I've never known of any problems with the disc readers. O.o My PS1, PS2 and PS3 all read discs as good as the days I bought them.

Hell, when CD's came out I got frustrated about how I had to *wait* to play the game! I didn't have to do that since my Amstrad loaded cassette tapes for 3-5 minutes on one-time load.
