The art of Efencea!!! in Off Topic

Yes, I know it’s been too long… but now there’s no need to spam my pager ranting anymore. It’s finally here..the next teaser. The Aliens have learned to mutate their symbiotic bodies into weapons to fight back against the Robots in a quest for control over Efencea. The Robots though, have increased their technologies to upgrade their gun turrets into highly efficient killing machines…to stop the infestation of Alien hordes. Level one towers:




Lets compare the old placeholders with the new animated towers:




Where did the Aliens and Robots come from? What is –Efencea-? And whats new to come to the GRAND update? Of course I won’t answer those questions! On another note,Verm and I have been commissioned by a music group to start a new project promoting a new artist…this means there might be a slowdown in production… a lot of things have been thrown our way preventing full dedication to Efencea… but don’t worry…its coming, and soon.

This leaves me with a smaller list of things to complete: 2 or 3 tiles, some towers, bosses, GUI re-design and a few Secrets Items.

BTW, I finished the title screen. NOW…motivate me to work harder with awesome comments!

They look nice and a lot better then most of the stuff on BYOND. This quality is great and the work you are doing is above normal standards someone would have for a BYOND game.

Jeez. Even the placeholders looked far better than most else on BYOND. The new stuff... yea. <_<

Its looking great,you sure did a great job mate. I love how you made those towers there epic. The Quality is sure uberly kickass i like it. Hope to see more in the future.

You have an awesome style, The new shading also gives it the right perspective for its surroundings, Making it stand out with that outline works but have you tried it without?

Also that eye swirling alien looks like it needs another state when the eye isn't visible, look closely at it.

I love the art though and cant wait to play! :)

you're a great artist but to be honest i can't stand your alien towers. maybe its the style you were going for but the colors look like they're blurred or something. just my two cents.
