So, now that I don't want to take you for a ride anymore (read, Marvel vs Capcom 3 is a pretty good game, but too easy) I have decided to actually open BYOND again.
What do I do? Probably finish an old game I started, almost finished, then got bored of.
Specifically, this game http://www.byond.com/games/TheMagicMan/WBAT (A year later, and I still have no name for it)
Before I got bored of it, the game was about 90% finished, and now it's about 97% finished. There is honestly not a lot left to do, that and it only took me about a week to make in the first place means it'll probably be finished by Monday at the latest (I lost track of time sometime last week, I am pretty sure it's around Tuesday/Wednesday right now, if not then just add a few days on Monday).
For the people who actually played it, all I have left to do is add poison related abilities, then poison weapons.
For people who did not play it. The game is best described as a PVP RPG Battle system. All of the parts that make a RPG however have been removed. There is no leveling up, no inventory, no quests, missions or even a map to explore. You make a team (using weapons), and then fight other players. The game is entirely skill based (picking the right team, then using them correctly will determine who wins, not leveling up or grinding stats/equipment).
Teams are made up of weapons. You can use upto 6 at a time. There is about 220 weapons in the game, each one having a unique combination of stats, abilities and passive abilities, making each weapon different from the next.
http://files.byondhome.com/TheMagicMan/weapons.png This picture is the current weapons. And before you say it, this game is not very serious. Sure you can use swords, axes, spears and bows, but you can also use wrecking balls, drills, guillotine blades, and even silly things like guitars, icebergs and even the holy and grenade of antioch. (A lot of people miss them, but a lot of weapons in the game are references to various things)
There is not much else to say about the game. You pick some weapons, fight it out, the winner wins, the loser loses, that is all.
Here is some screenshots however.
This is a superior Japanese katana (they can slice tanks in half you know) against an inferior western blunt sword. No surprise who is winning here.
However, even the incredible katana cannot win against the power of metal (you can't kill the metal).
And here is just some crazy guy using an iceberg.
IF I don't get lazy, like I said the game will be finished by Monday at the latest. I'll probably host it for a while once it is finished.
