I remember back in the day, when all you got was netscape navigator, some crappy tiled background that made the text impossible to read, a bunch of horizontal lines, and the obligatory dancing gif animation that had horrible aliasing.

Displeased with the amount of lag Firefox has. Though sometimes chrome is the same way with all it's opened processes. When I opened Firefox 4, it looks a lot better and it's a bit faster as well in my opinion.
Working pretty nicely, so far.
Had a small issue, since I manually configured my laptop for 100% performance, I shut off Window's ClearType text function which made text improperly display on FireFox.
Other than that, there's a lot more quality performance, and style.

Wait till WebGL and Molehill hit the market and the browser's stable builds (aside of Chrome, which already does) support web sockets.
I would guess that we're going to see a lot more of today's software move to the cloud. We already have a collaborative 'Office' and several evolving IDE's, to name but a few of the interesting developments...
