So for the last few weeks, Snagler and I have been hanging crap on each other about the FIFA World Cup, Australia v Germany. The back and forth between us has been something like:
-->(9:47 pm) Schnitzelnagler: Did we win yet?
<--(9:48 pm) Schnitzelnagler: The match didn't even start yet.
It's about to start in 6, or 7 hours from now

-->(9:50 pm) Schnitzelnagler: The correct answer is "Yes", 'cause you know, we've already won. ;)
<--(9:51 pm) Schnitzelnagler: Wet daysdreams do not account for reality :p
-->(9:52 pm) Schnitzelnagler: Germany just stalling for time.
<--(9:54 pm) Schnitzelnagler: If our teams would be operating systems, the socceroos would be Windows 3.1
Unstable, flawed, cought by time and simply bad.
Germany would be Debian 64 Ench.
Reliable, performant, and ready for the tasks ahead.

-->(9:55 pm) Schnitzelnagler: Yeah, but Debian isn't exactly user friendly. ;)

Personally, I don't follow Soccer, that's sport and sport is yucky, but this continued back and forth between us was far more futile on my side than I had initially thought.

Turns out, Germany thrashed us 4:0. That's a pretty good owning as far as ownings go. Australia should stick to cricket.
Prior to this, I knew not of this Snagler fellow. I like what he deigns to put up on his blog.

He registered in early 2003, I didn't meet him until late 2008 early 2009, never heard of him either.

He haunts BYOND Help because he is far more patient than I could ever hope to be.
Brazil > Germany > all

EDIT: Actually, I have no clue how good Brazil is now, but I know they used to be insane, so I'll just assume everything is the same.
Funny, I actually went on break at work and happened to watch the end of the game. Better luck next time! ;)
I tried watching the USA-UK game, but there's this drone noise the entire game. I think it's a bunch of didgeridoos, but a friend of mine that watches soccer said it was something much lamer.

In any event, it drives me nuts and I can only watch about 2 minutes at a time.
Actually, I'm not typical German male when it comes to soccer. I don't head out to public viewing events where thousands of people root for their team and I only ever know some basic end results. But I simply couldn't resist teasing Tiberath! *grins and winks*
Anyway, I hope Australia gets second in the group, which should (if nothing unexpected happens) mean that they would play against England in the round of last sixteen. It would somehow be fun if you'd throw England out of the match :p

Thank you, even if this should have been meant ironic ;)

It's called a Vuvuzela. You got to thank the host (South Africa) for that 'great' invention.

Actually, I only switched to the match Germany vs. Australia during commercials (which was fun as each time In did Germany had scored another goal :p). I consider soccer and most sport to be rather boring most of the time.

Oh, right! That completely slipped my mind. Sorry about that.
