School Prank Drama in Off Topic

Don't you just hate it when people blow things out of proportion...especially when it's someone who controls the outcome of your life?

Looks like it turned out alright. I find it hard to believe that they actually damaged anything, though. Except maybe a few plants >.>

Geez, that's ridiculous.

Here in B.C., we have UBC Engineering pranks which happen all the time. MIT did a "police car on the MIT dome" engineering prank. UBC does stuff like this all the time; hanging VW Beetles off of various structures, putting VW Beetles on various roofs, or doing other things like blinking bridge lights in Morse code or stealing Rose Bowl trophies. Usually, the police are irritated but also rather amused, and because no one culprit can be blamed they don't press charges. They're just pranks, after all, and in the case where they take something they always return it.

UBC also hung a Beetle off of the Golden Gate Bridge. The American authorities were rather unhappy about it. The Americans are always unhappy about something, so it's no surprise that a harmless prank like the one you mentioned in your article would cause people to become so angry. Who does that prank hurt, exactly?

Wow. If you ask me, that is not even considered a prank. The kid put up a damn sign saying his class is awesome or whatever. It didn't even say anything bad...geez. As a matter of fact that sign would have probably looked cool on graduation day for that graduating class.

Well, you do have to admire their vigilance. The banner could have been explosive, or could have concealed fully-automatic weapons.
