Noticed the player stats have come back on the hub. Are they broken? I'm not sure i understand the readout....

What exactly is this showing? What is "plays"? Is that players or plays of the game?

Is this counting 1 byond key playing that game that day. Or does it count the byond key playing the game over and over in a day?

So would 1 person boost this by say 8 plays just by visiting / playing 8 times? So that would mean 1500 'unique' players creating a readout of 12000.
lol considering you can only view stats for your own games, and you only own one, I'd say that censorship is pretty pointless =P
And as far as I can tell, plays is how many times people log in to your game. So if Joe relogs 30 times you get +30 players. Could be wrong though.
The "plays" is just that-- the total #plays. While it can be subject to abuse, it should at least give an idea of popularity trends.

We may eventually restore unique-player tracking; that just requires more data. We mostly did this for internal use.

Ok but "plays" are (just to make it clear in my head) a person just logging into the game right?

If so that would explain the jump to 16,000 since i think servers were going down then so people were most likley logging into a new server or two that day.

Right.

Plays also doesn't include a one-player client side game, right?
