You actually get to raid too, which is the point of the game.

The server I played on had 4 different servers. Blizz-like, slightly higher gains, really high gains, and then a "fun server", which was auto lvl 70 (this was pre-Lich King). I played on the "slightly higher gains" one. There were no edited items, although they did allow you to exchange "vote points" for items, (which I had used to gain inventory space only, until I had my crafting/mining skills high enough to make some real gold). I also participated in raids and so forth, which is why I said that the only good thing about the game are the instances, although I only participated in one raid dungeon and that was one of the 10-man one (Karazhan). I'm sure that the 20,30,40,etc.-man raid instances are way better, but when that's the only real thing a game has going for it...

I object! I only used the gun code to kill this boss.

True, a lot of private servers are run by some kids who give you instand level 80 and all that. But there are some that have Blizz-like gains and most of the quests/dungeons.

It's like using all the codes in GTA right when you start. It completely spoils the rest of the game.

Eh, I see it more like... if I had played on the real server with the normal rates, then it would've been the exact same thing, but slower.

There's your problem.

It's like using all the codes in GTA right when you start. It completely spoils the rest of the game.

I play Kallios and Scyntus, both Horde on Stormscale.

I'd never pay for WoW. I played on a private server for a while, with increased exp/drop rates just to get a feel of the game. Got to lvl 70 with a Human Paladin, raided, got bored. It's just grind, quest, quest, quest, quest, grind, quest, quest, grind, quest, quest, quest, grind, etc. The only good thing about the game are the instances.

Eh, I dunno. I just don't get what all the fuss is about really. There's way better games out there that are completely F2P.

Not to mention the costs of their servers and internet.

Nope, I played Runescape, and it was like pot, until I figured out the entire game was grinding and that programming is the win.
