Getting Something Accomplished in Off Topic

I will be participating in the Get Something Done event this month, and my participating entry will be a project I started in December 08, but never managed to get in to a presentable state. The name of the project is Operation Arcturus, and it's essentially a two team tactical action game, and a basic download file will be made available on the 1st of May.
Although the basic gameplay is more or less complete, there are various critical parts of the game that I will have updated throughout the month in order to make it presentable. I will also make public posts of my progress. Generally expect 1 post every time a deadline is reached. Here is my tentative list of deadlines:
May 1: Have a download available.
May 3: Have a rudimentary system for round handling and player joining.
May 6: Have a decent system for hosting and administrative controls, as well as a spam filter system.
May 10: Have a presentable and eye pleasing user interface to replace the ugly stand-in currently in use.
May 15: Have a permenant and highly stable system for round handling, including logins, joining, and victory conditions. Have at least 1 new weapon and 1 new item.
May 21: Have at least 4 new weapons & 2 new items. A few sound effects if time.
May 28: Have Medals & a Score Table. Have pleasant or auditorally conservative sound effects for most interactions. Polish existing graphics outside of the interface to look nicer. The game is expected to be completely presentable around this time.
June 1: Essentially a final deadline. This provides me with 3 leniency days in case something should prevent me from reaching earlier deadlines.
Although these are understandably subject to change, I find it much easier to do something when I have a deadline to do it, as it keeps my mind focused. A basic hub page is up now, and work shall resume at long last, on the first of the month. Stay posted!
