Quotation marks actually have nothing to do with misspellings. They are used for misspellings for the same reason I used it there: to indicate the word belongs to somebody else, so it's not my fault that it's wrong.
It's the same thing as saying "so-called" in front of something. In fact, it's exactly that. The quotes tell you that someone called it this, but the present speaker doesn't necessarily agree.

That's cool, a self proclaimed "grown" ass woman, a self proclaimed grammar nazi arguing over a context of a word and how they passed high school with flying colors. Onto the subject at hand, I played DC universe and actually kind of found it fun, but their limitations on the free accounts were ridiculous. I don't go internet searching for online games much anymore so I dropped to see if anybody else had any idea.
