Well it's been five years, five years I've spent spitting out projects and getting my creative juices rolling. Five years that I've enjoyed.

And now I think I might leave.

Why? Well, to be honest I don't think I'm being productive with my time, the people I enjoy making games with have already left(my brother, Wildrogue), and I have this weird feeling that this place sort of attracts some fairly odd people, and I'm not sure that I want to be part of it(THE MAJORITY OF YOU GUYS ARE ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC PEOPLE).

I haven't decided if I'm going to leave for certain yet, if/when I do I'll face the problem of leaving my projects.

I have to talk to Wildrogue about what we're going to do with Progeny, but I've really been the only one working on it for a while, so I might have more prerogative. Wildrogue has obviously lost interest and I don't like begging/forcing him to do icons for it. If we hand it off, it will be to a single individual that has interest and ambition.

BYOND Prime is my issue, and I think this community is the most promising of any of my projects. We're still a thinking breathing and vibrant community and have for the most part transcended our roots as a graphics guild. For some reason whenever I look at this guild and am like 'I'm over this, its dead', new things seem to be sprouting up all over. It'd seem morally reprehensible not to hand it off to a guild member, but I don't know who's suitable. What I do know is that whoever decides to take over will have to have a good idea where they are taking the guild.

I don't know if anyone remembers, but I have the rudimentary source for a game called Project Movie, that I showed off on the Spector blog once. That impressed when I hosted it publicly, as people can actually make their own movies with nothing more than a text file and English. And then show them off to the public. I don't know if I want to release that one publicly or not. It is not the type of game that people would rip and it might open up the possibility of more developers and thus more chance of fruition.

Paintball BYOND will stay as is right now, I still see it online even though it is not supported by me, which means people will put in enough effort to play it on their own.

I'll make my final decision of leaving by the next week.
Dibs on BYOND Prime.
You'll be back.

Nah, I don't do things half assed.
It'd suck to see you leave, Dub Dub. You've given a lot to the BYOND community.

I'll honor any decision you make though.
Well if you do leave, sorry to see ya go.

If you transfer ownership of Byond Prime here, make sure whomever takes over continues the way you have and shares your views :D

Will do =D, thanks man.
BYOND has an obnoxious way of drawing you back after you decide to leave. I think I've left, oh, probably at least five times for several months each. The last time I left was for about 8 months. Here I am again. If you really want to leave BYOND, you might have to trash your computer and move to a third world country. Otherwise you may well find yourself here again several months down the road. >:)
Well hey, I might as well try to be the first one to break away.
Breaking away is easy. Its staying away that's hard. :)
"and I have this weird feeling that this place sort of attracts some fairly odd people, and I'm not sure that I want to be part of it"

What a vivid imagination!

But in seriousness of the matter, if you do leave I wish you the best of luck with anything you do with your life. If you don't? Then I will see you again anyways odds are. Hopefully this decision of yours is not one you will regret later on. And Foomer is correct with his last remark. BYOND is basically like.....sex? or some form of something nice I suppose.
I'd say BYOND is more like a drug that lets you escape from reality a little.
Actually the majority of us are trolls (being one I think I'd know that), but yeah, I'd give it 5 months at least.
Heh... I say just leave, your right, this place is a waste of time (I'm one to speak, I'm a member >.<)... This does waste time, especially if you have your own game... All I can say is, we'll all miss you, hope you can make use of you semi-useless life, and see you in the afterdeath... Oh, and visit my blog and bookmark it >.<
Whats your e-mail. I needa talk about something before you go World. :[
You can't leave BYOND! I'll miss you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :(

I don't think you understand: You can't leave.

Leaving BYOND is a concept more complicated than the Abstract state of Gas, the Third Law of Thermodynamics, the Cantaloupes Infinitum- let us know when you have Ph.D.
Ok, 1: You can't leave because I was just about to get my new games rollin. 2: Although I left, and i'm not sure if I was forgotten(Because i'm on here every now and again). But everyone leaves at one point in time to get on with our lives, but if we as developers give up. Who will be here to guide the new people of BYOND? I knew you when you where still learning how to program, and you've come a long way. But there is still things out there that we can do to benifit the BYOND community. And let me tell you, you're one of the most creative people i've met on BYOND yet.

Nah I'm still leaving, sorry that I'll miss out on your games buddy.
