Ok so, this fine Turkey Day I had an idea. Warning, it is to develop a system not a game.

WAIT! Don't leave!

The system would work like this, it would be a BYOND program(because I have no experience making dynamic websites - but if some one else takes this and runs with it that's a good option) and Game Creators would be able to open up a category for their projects. Players would be able to submit ideas, complete with code, icons and any other types of documentation to the category for other players to vote on.

If it was popular the idea could also appear in a 'General' venue where people could rate and comment the idea for a game. This is would most probably stir a lot of game design philosophy.

Creators could in turn open up a control panel for one of their games and sort through ideas. Ideas could be given various awards like 'hot' or 'front paged' - you get the picture. When a game creator searched through these ideas he could easily know the good from the bad.

Here's the punch: If the idea was submitted in code and supplied with an icon, the Network would be able to send it to the game for direct download into the world at co-ordinates designated by the game owner. This way you could try out items before implementing them and even include user created quests instantaneously.

For front page ideas any game owner could send them to their game.

What do you guys think?

Seriously, we must be the same person or something because I built a more simple system (I'm planning to expand it when I get the time) a while back. It's a bit broken at the moment though.

What a coincidence!

Wow, well I won't steal your idea then. If you need any help with it though you can ask me any time.
No, by all means do it. I was just pointing out that we seem to have virtually exactly the same ideas all the time. Well, two identical ideas, anyway :-).

Great minds think alike! Although, I seem to always get the ideas later than you do. =)
