Now, you're probably thinking "secure." Which is what any normal person would say. But, as I rush through this entire semesters work that I did NOT do because I procrastinated.. which is also due on the 27th.. I am bombarded with questions like these.

Now, I'm thinking SSL.. Secure Socket Layer. Rofl.. but who knows.. http://i.imgur.com/SYAgiC8.png Because this is apparently not correct. But, obviously I'm wrong and need to be retaught. That's why I'm going to school, right? lol. I guess I'm find out if SSL is right when I get deducted points.
This is also the reason I got a 95% on my midterm and not a 100% like I strived for. Yes, I'm complaining about a 95% on a subject I very much love and dealt with the majority of my life.

Don't need to google my answers. Lol. I mean I have been for some things that I just didn't feel like reading. And some of the answers aren't online. At all. So, it's wasted efforts. In this picture none of the answers are correct... HTTPS = Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure AND even if it was SSL SSL = Secure Sockets Layer (note the s in sockets) All the given answers are wrong... Id's tell your professor. | |
By eliminating the answers, you can tell that in HTTPS the S stands for secure. Secure socket logon? Never heard of it. Secure Socket Layer? Heard of it. I'm familiar with it since it's pretty much a feature required for HTTPS connections on port "443". Which is also the standard port for HTTPS's SSL. Lol. So I just thought, "This has to be the right answer." I got a 88% on this one though. Lol. On to the next test. I have 7 more to do before the 27th. The procrastination is serious..

And I can see why. I just thought that CTRL would be a better choice because pretty much EVERY keyboard has it. But not every key board has a function key. and CTRL can perform special commands. CTRL + V, CTRL + C. Those are special to me. :|

but not all software has special task assigned to CTRL, function keys are used in most software for something or another(ie: most common is screen shots in PC games, in my experience being a function key).

Now, not everyone would think that deep right off the bat. I've had quite a few people say CTRL as well for the same reason I did lol.

The function keys are F1 through F12 at the top of keyboards. Every keyboard I've ever used has function keys.
Although, I don't know what they do in most programs. The only one I really know is Alt+F4 (close) for most things, and F1 (help, DM Reference) in some things, and F11 (fullscreen in browsers). Of course, then there's the Fn key on laptop/tablet keyboards, which is pretty different. | |
