I've been working in Unity3D lately. It's actually quite fun. I finally got the networking part of it now and doing networking is very easy now that I understand how data is actually sent.

So, here is the login page for people who want to start a server:

Surprisingly enough, you don't have to port-forward to host. At least, that's what I understand.

After you started or joined a server, you drop down from the sky at a random location in a certain area. All players logging in will spawn here, just not at the same area. To prevent overlapping.

You can go over the small hill and then you will be presented with a beautiful view. ;)

I tried to take a picture just where the water rises (yes, it's animated as well) and where I am under the water with my camera zoomed out. This way, you can see where I am, what under the water looks like, and other stuff.

At the edge of the map is this large drop. But, you can still get back up fairly easy.

And, while I was testing this with Ss4toby, we had some fun abusing some of the bugs in the game. Lol. Who doesn't like a good harmless bug? We jumped on the mountain until we made it over. Almost fell outside the map.

Then, we started climbing on top of the mountain.

That's just about it.

I'm trying to use blender to create a little shack... However, I can't seem to get the texture to pass over to Unity. I don't really know how to use blender.. And it's frustrating. Here's my wood in unity and blender:

Very nice, Xirre! I've seen two developers(You included) who've managed to switch to Unity with ease~ It's quite inspiring to see and I'm sure it'll encourage other developers in the community to do the same.

I hope everything goes well with you and Unity, keep us updated!
I started Unity around the same time I started with BYOND. That was a while ago, and I haven't made something that looks that good yet. Keep up the good work!
Thanks. I finally figured out how to move my models from Blender3D to Unity3D. All I had to do was mark the seams and then make sure it was scaled right. Then, it textured perfectly in Unity. So now I have a large wood floor. I'll be adding the walls and roof later. And, possibly a fire and more.
Falacy and Xirre are the masters of Unity3D they are both good with BYOND and Unity coding says a lot of Byond programming.

What?
I think he's just stating the fact that Falacy also works in BYOND and Unity3D.
Ah, I see. Posts like these are full of inspiration. I'd like to see your future progress in unity~ Between you and Teka. <3. Keep it coming.
Teka is doing Unity? o.O -- And I now have better water (going to try and script my own water from scratch) and also I have a fire (I need logs though to go under the fire) and I added a new tree. I'll post some pictures when I've messed with them a bit more and polished it up.
Naw, not that I'm aware of. Teka has a way of inspiring me though. Haha.
Double post like a G- Look at all those trolls in the poll!
I was the first to vote for "What the.. what is this!? Stop!" lol. I put that option there to see how many people would click it just to click it.

33%. =O!
Here's a little something I've been working on. I'm making a human model. I'm just going to do the back of this right leg and then go to sleep. Tomorrow I'm adding more knee and feet features. :) I'm liking this.

This is really good, well done Xirre. Looks like you found your feet with Blender too!

Keep up the good work, looking forward to seeing your progress. (:
