I'm looking for a cheap and reliable solution for a domain. Particularly .tv, if not .tv then .com.

Any suggestions?
Have you taken a look at the comparison for the current most popular services?
I purchase all of my domains from Namecheap and use Site5 as my web host.

Although, A.T.H.K offers web hosting from what I understand on top of byond panel. I recommend you ask him first if you're in need of services because you might be able to find prices that are more affordable than site5. Although regardless if you have a paying job either way it's pretty in-expensive.

Yes, I have seen that page already. I've also seen the exact same page to find my GPU. Apparently, the results weren't all that correct. So, I don't fully rely on that site anymore, sadly.

Yeah, I was talking to A.T.H.K about it last night. But, I needed rest since I have to wake up early. So, I didn't get to finish talking about it with him. He won't be awake for a few more hours either. I didn't bother to ask him about any plans he had himself. I probably should. I'll check out the sites you guys have mentioned a bit more thoroughly.

Edit: Namecheap isn't all that cheap. A .tv domain costs $24.99. I've seen it for $19.99 elsewhere.

Site5 seems nice. Not really liking their price though. I sure wish I had money to afford such lovely things.
Godaddy and Host Gator always has $1 .com's for a year.

I prefer Godaddy though.

Out of curiosity, why so cheap through them?

It's not $1, its 99 cents. They charge a horrendous 18 cent fee on top of the already appalling 99 cent price for a grand, uninspiring total of $1.17. They also guilt trip you into donating to one of four charities before you hit the checkout button, which is another 83 cents. So when you check out you're actually spending $2.

I got the domain for $23.00, 20% off. With hosting. I was cutting it really close. I only had $26.00. .TV domains are crazy expensive!

I know man. I thought the price of gas was high but these domain sellers are getting away with murder nowadays!

GoDaddy upsell, essentially. Pretty much as EmpireTeamz has explained.

Although more-so than the obvious, you've got no WHOIS privacy , godaddy themselves are okay with selling those details to third parties, you've got no email forwarding, should you need them to handle the initial MX server for you, usually no DNS transfers permitted etc.

My name is EmpirezTeam, not EmpireTeamz.

Go home Stephen. You're drunk.

On top of this the renewal fees are quite high after that one year period, making up for what they lost on the initial year..

I don't understand this, anyone can do a whois look up to get your details, sure they can sell it on the market as they already have the details in bulk (instead of trawling through every single domain). But yea without WHOIS privacy anyone can get your details.. the details you signed up with..

They do allow custom DNS servers.. byondpanel.com is registered with GoDaddy using Cloudflare as DNS and Google Apps as MX.
I ignore all donations and only spend the $1.17, estimated, which still is not bad.

For the first year it's fine especially if you don't intend on using it for more than that period, otherwise I would suggest name.com or internet.bs for transfer/renewal. even then it's around $7.99 which isn't bad at all.

Just don't use 1&1 the experience I had with them ($0.99 domain) was terrible... They wouldn't even let me transfer or renew the domain...
Really?? That sucks, I just register my domain there and mess with the namespace's for the webhosting
Overall, I enjoy x10premium

Donate, bro. Feed a kid in Africa.
I don't entirely like GoDaddy anymore. A user from their site stole my website when I didn't have enough to renew it. This has been for like 2 or 3 years now. Sick of this. Never again will I lose a domain. Nor will I ever look towards GoDaddy for a solution. It's now a personal grudge.

Site: http://xirre.com

I got my domain from http://domain.com though. The .tv domain seemed cheap there. $19.99 with $8.99 for domain privacy. I used a promo to get them both for $23, 20% off.
