s19 game modes


So after constantly repeating myself over and over again about future content for Sunday the 19th I figured I'd just write up a post about what to expect in the future, hopefully this will keep you murderous bastards coming back for more ;)

As players will know the current modes are killer mode and predator mode.

Future modes to look forward to:

Please note that these ideas are not fully developed and only will be later in the life of s19.

Horde mode
----------
Co-op mode with players vs AI controlled enemies. Possibly in a "wave" format.

Infection mode
-------------
1 player spawns as a zombie and must infect all other players, zombies who are killed respawn until 1 person is left alive, this person is the winner.

RP Mode
------------
Simple RP mode for the storytellers in you. We will probably provide the ability to spawn any objects or whatever the player wants really.

Protect the king mode
------------
(Personally I find the idea of this really funny)
This mode is based on 2 teams, attackers (assasins) and the defenders (bodyguard) The objective in this mode is to kill/defend the king, however there is a twist, the King is actually Elivs and he can't attack, he has 3 hamburgers in his inventory to heal himself and has to count on the aid of his bodyguards to keep him alive. (Teams switch each round)

Alien vs Predator Mode
-----------------------
Name says it all, the famous Alien xenomorph vs. our already w.i.p predator, although this time in big teams on a remote planet ;)
Monster mash anyone?

Classic Modes: Deathmatch, TDM, CTF
---------------------------
Classic game types never die, all out deathmatch kill everyone, deam based death match and the every so popular capture the flag mode.

These ideas are subject to change in the future but the basis of them will remain, there is no promise that they will actually make it into the game.

ALL ideas for new gametypes are very welcome and I'd love to hear what you all think.

Theres more to the game than just running around stabbing people. And theres nothing I can do about the connections players and how fast they are. Since we are running the servers off our own systems there will tend to be occasional lag.

However the game is still very early in development and will undergo major changes and tweaks as we go along. Including weapon balancing and player vs killer mechanics.

You might want to do something about that.

Thanks mate, we are gonna keep working on it, just gotten alittle slow recently because of busy social lives. Don't worry it'll pick up again soon ;)

We will have random player icons on spawn its just a matter of making the, which is a very lengthy process seeing as we have individual movement states for each limb and such.

The combined items on the ground is part of the gameplay, it means players need to combine in a safe place where their stuff can't be stolen. However this may change at a later date.

Lol reminds me of that movie "Mars Attacks" ever seen it?
We have a ton of modes still to add but we'll probably consider the idea at a later date. Thanks mate.
