Actually I found an easier way, although I can only get it on my gibsons, but I hit the note and mute it with my playing finger, not my thumb. I found it easier, and it accomplishes what I've been trying to do! But anyways, this alternate way works for me, so yea! I've been playing Blues Metal =P
