I am trying to format my d: drive, and it keeps saying the disk is in use, is there a way to stop this? I tried locking the drive through dos, but I have had no luck. How can I do this?
Restart in safe mode, this should stop anything from using it. But, from the sounds of it, you probably have a program installed to it that is running on startup, that can create all sorts of problems.
