ok iv seen the posts like this saying that it could be that my firewall is blocking stuff but noting is. i did a system restore a while ago for virus reasons and finaly dicided to redownload byond. like all the other posts i read i am able to see and use my instauled byond app on the dashboard with freinds, favs and such. but when i try to play a game it connects me as a guest. iv made sure that no firewalls or such are blocking. i even compleatly shut them off for a time to see if that would work but nothing. any other suggestions some one can give me. i last played before the system restore about 2 or 3 months ago.
If you're always connecting as a guest, there are two possibilities: 1) There is still a firewall preventing access, that you haven't found yet. 2) There may be something wrong with your BYOND config files. If it's the latter, uninstalling and reinstalling may help, as may clearing your cache. I would also try using the latest 494 build of BYOND, as this includes some changes that should help reset a few configuration problems.
im positive that i have done all of the firewalls. not sure about how to clear the cache. and im pretty sure im downloading the newst byond seeing as i had to compleatly reinstal it.
To clear the cache, open the byond pager, file, preferences, games, clear cache, ok, ok

To clear the cfg file, open the byond pager, file, preferences, advanced, open user directory, backup and delete the cfg folder, restart your computer

Also, when you reinstall byond, ensure you do it as an adminisrater

Good luck!
