Halo 3's Forge: Map Variant Finished

After about 3 hours of learning how to make "floating" objects on the Halo 3 forge with SuperAntx, we decided to make a floating trailer in Foundry. Yes, I said a floating trailer, because a few BYOND3Rs from the past known as Sharp, Bwgmon, Kritical, SuperAntx, XzDoG, and a few others new me as a "redneck" because of my strong southern accent. Anyways, we finally finished it and it was floating perfect!! I told him to save, well he said "Ok saved" so we continued to work well he screws up the floating trailer and it comes falling down. After a few seconds he's like "Oh snap I didn't save, I don't know how to", my reaction was very -- how you would say --- vulger.

So after all that happened I decided to leave his party, and start the trailer once more, well after 30 minutes of working on it I had a perfect and better imrpoved FLOATING TRAILER. It was equipped with a roof as well(Wasn't that hard to do). I put a truck on top of the roof, turrets on top, sniper rifles, and inside for you southern folks, a brand new shot gun!

So anyways this is what I've spent my time on these past few hours! Thanks for reading!

Modding The Original XBox

Most people say "Screw the first XBox, 360 all the way" like drooling idiots at Microsoft's overpriced console with it's overpriced features. Well this post is to change those certain people's minds.

The XBox Console is great to mod and holds many options once modded. There's a lot of ways to mod a XBox, one way is hard-modding meaning putting in a mod chip in the console and is probably the most difficult, the second way is soft-modding which means getting one of the 3 games that their save files can be exploited so it can boot up Ndure's installer.

You may be saying why soft-mod it seems like it sucks, well you're wrong. Soft-modding holds the same capability as a hard-mod you just can't switch it off at the click of a button, but you can do it with the exploited game.

As for soft-modding there's many ways of doing it, hot-swapping to have the hard-drive unlocked so you can use xboxhdm, or using the exploited games.

With a modded XBox you can play many home brew applications such as emulators for many old school consoles. Some of which were ported from some of the better emulators from the PC and improved. With the dash-board/application XBMC, you can FTP your music, movies, and pictures to watch them straight off your XBox on your TV, in my opinion this is one of the best features.

Last but not least, a modded XBox doesn't require the DVD in the drive to play, most of the time you can just rent a game and copy it on the hard-drive of the XBox with the file-explorer that's in most of the dash-boards. With that you can just play the games right off of the XBox's hard-drive, not to mention the loading time is greatly decreased.

After you have your mod installed it's greatly recommended to upgrade your hard-drive with xboxhdm or hot-swapping. The default size of the hard-drive for the XBox is 8 GB - 10 GB, so you can see why it's smart to upgrade. You can put up to a 255 GB hard-drive in the console or higher if you have the time and patience. As for me I have a 160 GB hard-drive in my XBox.

So the point of this is to think twice about your old XBox console, it still reigns over the XBox 360 in many ways. Mod it and get the most out of it you can.

^: The above link is the guide to using Xbins. With Xbins you find many of the tools you'll need to soft-mod your XBox as well as the many dash-boards, emulators, and applications. You will need a FTP Client(Flashfxp) and a IRC client(mIRC) for Xbins so be prepared.
