For the past couple of weeks, I've been ranting on about the creation of simple games in contrast to spending countless hours and even months to get your ideas to the Dream Maker. I've been thinking of a way to promote this idea and to reward developers for their participation in making simple, yet fun projects for us all to enjoy.

Here's what I've come up with so far

Let's make the idea into a guild

I want to help promote the simpler things in life. Fun games that are created in weeks, not months or even years. I've decided to help promote these creations and inform the BYOND community of their existence along with assisting the Guild Members and staff by creating an atmosphere where we can work together, assisting each other with programming, pixel art, GFX, interface design and the list goes on.

Guilds are dead, you say?

Why do that? No one is using Guilds anymore!

I'm following Teka123's example and following his lead as he breathes new life into the Anime Guild here on BYOND.

I believe if we have enough participation, we can help promote these creations by hosting contests, giving away prizes and as I've said before, limited time medals.

Stand by! It's in the making

I currently have a place in my member's forum to handle guild matters until I can hash everything out and get this ball rolling.

As of now, you can submit your finished projects that are already listed on byond, or you can offer your help in creating and maintaining this new community.

What I am in need of

I currently need

Forum Moderators to assist in the creation and moderation of the new Guild's forums.

Game Reviewers to help review and include games that the Guild will sponsor.

A CSS Creator cuz I fail at that.

Other General Staff that can offer any kind of help.

Check my current member's forum to offer assistance or begin submitting your games for reviews.

I expect the Guild to be created and running in the next couple of weeks. So, hop in and offer your support and assistance.

Note: Anime/Fan-Games aren't eligible for listing so please don't submit them

On another note:

It makes my happy place tingle to see all of the games that are being produced due to the issuance of my challenge. Keep up the great work!
Does it have to be finished, finished. Or can be mid-finished game.

Finished games only please. If it meets the requirement to be listed, and one of the volunteers has listed your game on the main site, you can submit it.
When you say review, do you mean just login and test the game to make sure it fits some criteria, or write an actual review of the game discussing the gameplay, graphics etc.?

I'm glad you asked that!

It's actually a bit of both. I'd like to have someone that checks the forums periodically to see what developers have submitted and then plays the games to decide whether or not they meet the criteria to be supported and promoted by the guild. Then, it would be nice if they were to write a blog post, on the Guild's site, and for everyone to see to review the game as a means of promoting it.
I can do that.
Great! Be glad to have ya.
I can review games =P

Hope to see this up soon. Awesome job you are doing, Yusuke~

Why not anime or fan-games? I want a reasonable answer

Cuz they have their own guild? :D
