Footrace for the Holy Grail

Footrace for the Holy Grail
Mayhem in the middle ages! Play as classes like the archer, warrior, mage, or rogue in a racing battle royale described as "Super Smash Bros + Mario Kart"!

One thousand years ago, or some time around that time, most likely not one thousand, THERE WAS A GREAT RACE. The winner of this race would win the coveted Holy Grail- the most treasured treasure in the kingdom. This hella loot, however, would not be easily obtained; only the bravest, most daring warriors from around the world have a chance at securing its holy treasured holiness. The question remains: Will that person be you?

Footrace for the Holy Grail is a competitive racing/fighting hybrid inspired primarily by Super Smash Bros. and Mario Kart. Easy to play and hard to master, this game offers a welcoming and fun experience for all players. Deep fighting mechanics largely inspired by Melee allow for the "best man" to always come out on top. Multi-player inspired by Twitch Plays Pokemon is designed to feel like you're playing with people locally- the lobby system is decorated to look very familiar to fans of Smash.

FFTHG was designed and developed by Yut Put.
Yeah... As much as it probably would suck. This game needs bots. I want to test it but nobody is around just yet. I'm aware you just dropped the game so nobody knows.
Was hosting and checked the Dream Daemon.

runtime error: bad index
proc name: move (/choose2/move)
usr: null
src: Shaltres (/choose2)
call stack:
Shaltres (/choose2): move()
: movement loop()
: movement loop()

Whatever you can make of that...
I also got that previous error and this one:
runtime error: list index out of bounds
proc name: update (/obj/hud/stocks/update)
usr: Kwark (/player/barbarian)
src: the stocks (/obj/hud/stocks)
call stack:
the stocks (/obj/hud/stocks): update()
Kwark (/player/barbarian): update hud()
Kickstar My Heart (/player/warrior): damage(Kwark (/player/barbarian), 2, 1)
Kickstar My Heart (/player/warrior): damage(Kwark (/player/barbarian), 2)
Kwark (/player/barbarian): melee()
I've made an attempt to fix both of those, but I'm not certain if I've succeeded. They're both strange(especially the latter one) in that they are spouting errors about lists in places where lists aren't used. Regardless, thanks for the reports. There'll definitely be bugs and runtimes to deal with in the future, and it always helps a ton when people report what they find.
I'll check it out if you're hosting the fixed version.
Yeah, the version I'm hosting usually is the most updated one(currently it is also the one on the hub)
I haven't tried it, but the artwork is appealing; now, it's no HD quality, but it definitely doesn't burn my eyes. Based off of the screenshots, it looks like it'd be a fun game if you can get a group of friends together.

Anywho, good job.
The key focus of this game's multi-player is to create organic, enjoyable experiences that make people feel closer together as friends while still maintaining a competitive aspect. This came from when I played Towerfall with my friend, and how we developed our own local metagame through it, and after multiple parties at my house during which the majority of us played Smash, gathered around the television and connected by our mutual understanding of the game's familiar characters. Despite the fact that the game revolves around beating up other people, the players maintain normalcy and sportsmanship in a lobby fueled by anarchy, and it makes me proud as a game designer. Thanks, and I hope you enjoy it.
Love to play it. Just need somebody to host it c:
Great presentation, LOTS of fun. Grab a friend and play.
Just ordered a VPS for this. Going to get a 24/7 server set up within a few days.

Thank you c:
I've always been a fan of Yut Put games, don't know how anyone could dislike them. Played most of his games with a friend that sadly passed away, he loved Yut's games (SIRIUS FTW). He's one of the most original creators on Byond; he makes his own games with custom icons, sounds, and ideas. It's like a breath of fresh air from the rips and same kind of games all over BYOND. When he releases a game he doesn't leave it at that, if it has some players he'll update it constantly, usually multiple times in a week. He livestreams (also streams other games he plays) the updates he's working on for sneak peeks and if you have a good idea, he can make it happen. Never seen him get angry or rage at anyone, which I think is rare on BYOND.

TL;DR
Well made game that updates constantly and has a respectful community. It has one of those action MMO themes with glitches/techniques coded in to become skilled at (reminds me of GunZ and K-Style if anyone knows what that is). I'd recommend it to anyone, give it a try, tournaments on Fridays.
Got that server up... It's the one without a host name. Going to play a few rounds at 10PM GMT tomorrow if anyone wants in.

awesome! i wonder how well a 24/7 server will play and how it will affect the playerbase. hopefully you'll be able to keep up with my daily updates, though xD If it plays well and you can update it around 12 hours from this comment, we could use it for Footrace Friday and I'd be able to livestream the event/MC it
