The archer is one of the easier and more popular characters for newbies. His main game-play revolves around avoiding enemies. The archer's arrows can be dash canceled, meaning you can use them while you're speeding down the track. You can also offstage reset with the archer, so firing an arrow at a ledge guarder will give you back your dodge. The traps can be dotted around the arena late-game for some extra damage and control, or even early on if you need that extra boost. His melee is fantastic, but hard to hit with, so use it sparingly. There are some ridiculous things you can do with the archer, such as continuous dodge resets offstage to combo your opponent into high percentages, and then using those resets to return to the stage again and melee for the kill.
