I'm a big fan of top down icons. Try giving it some shoulders and a moving animation show it's hands coming forward.
This post was a joke. They are circles because it makes them look very cartoony and fun. In the game the characters have feet and carry weapons, which implies that they are all kirby-esque
haha thanks. it was discussed on another random post today that i was probably inspired by kaiochao's sword fight game.
In the game, you don't really notice it though. The hands are kind of implied... like a lot of things in the game(especially story elements haha... that's kind of an inside joke)
