since i did actuaal pixel art. i put this thingy together in a little over an hour out of boredom. Yeah, i know that red haired dude is extremely ugly and the east/north states are even worse. but its been forever since i did pixel art other than the stuff i slapped together for Epic

the edited version:

Those are some of the worst sprites I've ever seen.

Jerk!

They are nice but the legs/head are a bit wide (depending on the look you are going for) and they are bright oh so bright!

The knight and the robe dude look great.
The front/back naked one looks like a bald woman with huge neck and shoulder muscles.
You try too hard bro.
Alot of useless posts- two constructive. It's amazing people continue to post their work.
First, they are not bad- the clothed look very useable.

The nude sprite has some odd proportions. The hips flare a bit and the torso shading is strange. The front makes the traps and shoulders look really exaggerated, but the pecs are circular like female breasts. The back looks awkward at the shoulder blades- the back line is too pronounced running downward and could probably use some horizontal recess shading more like the front. I think the issue is too much detail instead of going with more general forms.

To that end, the clothed ones look better.

I assume the huge noggin is an intentional stylistic thing (similar to Chrono Trigger), but aren't the eyes kind of small for that style? One of the reasons for going with a disproportionate head is to show more facial expression.
did a quick edit based on what you said. this sprite isn't going into anything but i might as well polish for the sake of practice
The pallete is a real eye killer. I'm literally getting a headache looking at it. I suggest changing that first so we can bare looking at it for prolonged periods. Then we'll move from there :)

Edit: I remember you saying that you got the pallete from pixel joint and i guess you fell in love with it. But It's really hard on the eyes, at least on my eyes.
Yeah, it's not an original palette. Maybe that explains the throbbing migraine i have right now
The parts that look darker make it seem like they're facing a different angle - like the thighs are lighter than the shins because the knees are bent. This also makes the arms look like they're back at an angle and that the mob is leaning forward. The legs being short also support that, same with the large neck and shoulders.
the arms are bent, but i could probably darken the thighs
This is horrible...I suck at pixel art but, I don't even know what I'm looking at here. Scrap it and start from zero is what I would do.
