Many of you noticed the start of this collaboration, but in order for it to really pick up speed, Maggeh suggested we ask developer input. So heres the question: What achievement icons do you want in your game, and what should they look like? Please keep all input to this blog post's comments, thanks! Heres the forum post by the way.

Cheers,

I'd like to see some medals that look more like these:

I really don't like it when people using a 64x64 image seem to feel the need to conform their image to fit the entire 64x64 block. Make it a circle, a sphere, a trophy, not a square! I'd also like to see perhaps some 3d-rendered trophy graphics, rather than stuff drawn into square frames... And, you know, stuff that looks shiny and award-like, not pixely.

The template isn't really just to use all the space... its just to establish a uniform look from medal to medal, but thats not a requirement. :) I see your point though, thank you for the suggestions!
Suggestions I've gotten: Military ranks? Icons for private, pfc, corporal, etc.
Some generic trophy icons, maybe?

And Ribbons, too! :)

Also, maybe some default "explosion-y" awards, that developers could paste a number over? Then they could do "500" for scoring 500 points, or whatever fits their game.
