An update?!

Well, with all three members of ATP Development in college now, we are ironically more active than ever!

Okay, not really because we haven't actually gotten anything done yet, but we're freaking motivated right now to polish up some of our projects.

We also thought it'd be neat to summarize all the contests we've participated in, because that seems to be the only time we actually finish something!

Cartridge Classic '05
Honorable Mention - Airsoft 8k
Eighth Place - Fallout

Iccusion Contest
Third (Fourth? Results page is down) Place - Ninja's Network

Two-Button Challenge
Third Place - Fallout

First annual Game in a Day challenge
First Place - Ninja Reprise

Second annual Game in a Day challenge
"Completed", no awards given, - First Tube

Third annual Game in a Day challenge
Awaiting results

BYOND Action Game in a Week challenge
Second Place - Speedo Torpeedo

Over the next few days I'll be updating and creating new hub entries for all the games.

Shaded Seasons seems to be in pretty good shape right now. Needs a little updating for 4.0, but it runs well and doesn't have a lot of bugs. We're going to try and get that going again, while we, once again, start Altricosm from scratch.

We are currently working on the first game we ever started, originally created for the 8k, the contest led to the formation of ATP. No details for now!

Game in a Day Entry

Well, I was waiting until after the results were posted but I really doubt that's going to happen. So here's a link to our GiaD entry, exactly as it was submitted.

http://atpdevelopment.com/Games/FirstTube/GiaD.zip

Our game in a day was based off of Tempest, an old old old arcade/atari game. We originally planned on making more than one map, but we felt that the game was completed and starting a new task with only a few hours to go wasn't a great idea. The name comes from both the genre, a "Tube Shooter", and the Phish song, First Tube, a song that we all enjoy. Phish jams pretty hard.

Anyway, even though the game is pretty simple, we put a lot of effort into it. Especially in bug testing. We tested a lot of different scenarios and if I recall correctly, there aren't any bugs at all (but I really don't know so test the heck out of it!)

I'd certainly be up to having someone else judge this contest, if all the participants could agree to only submit their fair copy of their game.

Congratulations Iccusion Contest Winners

On behalf of ATP Development, I'd like to give a big ol' congratulations to Ben G, Koil, and XxDohxX on their entries to the Iccusion Contest.

ATP Development took home 4th with Ninja's Network (be prepared for a release this week!), 13th with Evasion (honestly, I was expecting a bit higher with that), and 15th with Extraterrestrial Terror (I saw that coming; I simply didn't put in enough time for that. Sorry, Iccusion. Again, stay tuned for a near release!)

Congratulations to the winners, and a "Good on ya" to Iccusion for hosting one hella sick contest.

A 4 colour masterpiece

ATP Development has recently worked on a small time RPG to show our capability in the battle system and RPG fields.

Tell us your thoughts.
