So we all know that the internet is full of scams. Add trackers that make money while selling you out, numerous survey or add click companies who retain loophole to get out of paying you a service you provide that makes them money.. Does anyone know of Springboard america?

It seems straightforward enough: You take a survey, you get credits. Get 50 credits, get 50 bucks. Sounds great! I only work a very small part of the time and spend the rest of it bored and alone. Of course I'll take surveys for money! A few years ago I was interested in such a thing, and found only people selling "Information" on how to get started in such an "Investment". So far in the process of signing up i have seen no mention of a fee for membership, and the terms and conditions seem straight forward enough.

Seeing other posts on this forum describing various scams, I was wondering if anyone here has run into this company, and knows if my time will be waisted here (not that it matters, my time is mostly waisted anyhow).
These companies are always, always, always full of crap.

Summon your very best business brain, and call together some friends if you have the time. Try to brainstorm a way that you could build one of these businesses with the following restrictions:

1. It must be profitable.
2. It must be enticing enough that people will participate.
3. It must be fair to the participants:
- easy to earn the promised rewards
- no spam mail or other privacy violations
- all information given up front, no tricks

The logical conclusion of such a brainstorming session is that it can't be done. However, the next step is to try relaxing the fairness requirements. As soon as you allow unfairness to the participants, lie to them about it up front enough to satisfy #2, then #1 can be satisfied. You'll even get some ideas as to exactly which strategies are likely to be useful -- then lo and behold, when you check out the sites that are doing this, those strategies are exactly what are employed.

If you want a fair shake at a reward, get employed. That way you have actual rights and are guaranteed at least minimum wage. Don't fall for this bull crap.

That's a pretty good description of how to apply common sense to most issues, actually. If something sounds too good to be true, spend any amount of time pondering from the other end of the spectrum how it could be done and suddenly it all becomes obvious.

Well, I actually think this company is better than most. They have not violated their privacy policy so far as i have recieved no increase in spam. The amount of work required for each survey maches the benfits offered. Only problem is that surveys are very very infrequent. Only one short survey per week has been offered to me, its definetly not a place where you can earn any real amount of money.

That's what makes it a scam. You'll probably never earn money, but the owners will be making boatloads off of your work.
I've had good luck with Treasure Trooper; I made about $200. Definitely get a spam email address, though. Many of these "survey" companies couldn't care less about your survey answers and really only want your personal information.
I signed up with Springboard America, so far I have gotten 1 offer to for a survey, worth a whole whopping $1.00, I think I'd rather go to work and earn $50.00 a night.
