Yet another slow week. Bare with me- the guild will soon have more to show for itself.

• Supremacy Force Productions have submitted their primary game, Dragonball Z: Supremacy. I have no clue about the true amount of experimental content in the game, being that I've never played a DBZ game before, but I accepted it anyway, on the logic that it's higher rated than Tomb Explorer and thus has to have something different to it. Can anyone confirm that they meet the guidelines for me? A friendly member in the comments confirmed that it isn't a guild-worthy game. I have removed it from the games list.

• The new Featured Game of the Week is Vermolius' highly innovative PvP Tower Defence RTS, Efencea.

• I changed the CSS a bit a few days ago. I think it's alot better, personally, and it should clear up most problems. If you have any problems with it, feel free to comment.

• Nothing else much has happened. Submit games or make news, people! If you have any suggestions for events or anything else, post them in the comments!

And that's about it. This is the shortest week yet, and the guild's only been up since last Sunday! I'm not sure what to say, other then bugging you to submit games. ;)

Just edited the CSS as so that it has a bit more contrast, and also changed the primary colors. Is this any better for you all?

• D4RK3 54B3R has posted a blog entry about his strategy game, Conquest. Knowing his previous mention that alot of his upcoming games will have experimental elements, I'm going to be following this one in Lab Notes.

• Foomer has submitted his game Tomb Explorer to the guild. It's a very fun single-player game with a map editor. Map makers always make games more fun, don't they? Check out my Review for it at BYOND Casual. (Shameless self-advertising)

• My good friend ACWraith has submitted his game GrimTunnel to the guild. It's a very experimental game- to the extent that I've barely seen anything like it before, ever. :)

• We need a new CSS. One that doesn't mess up the forums like the current one does. I'd like to keep the color scheme and space theme, but be a bit more unique than the current self-edited one.
  

Yeah, it's a short post. However, I just started this guild yesterday, so there's not much news to report from this tiny period of time. Hopefully next week's will be packed with lots of juicy news about BYOND's growing amount of experimental games.

I've decided to turn my BYOND Member page into something actually useful: A guild.

This guild is for games that take the unbeaten path. Games that try new ideas done few times or never before. Games that try to be different, as to discover a new kind of gameplay experience that could change gaming forever.

This is BYOND Experimental Gaming. Welcome to the lab.


Submit any and all games that try out new concepts in one way or another. Doesn't have to be a new concept for all of gaming, just a new concept for BYOND. It can be a fan-game, but only if it's very revolutionary when compared to the original content and other fan-games of the same material.

Join, and you can submit games. You can also submit posts for review, which are likely to be posted to the site. The top members will be given Game and Post Submission Auto-approve if they stay active and helpful.
