Megamans wars by Dixon, a notorious game in the action guild known for it's incredibly balanced systems and pleasent staff.

Wait- what?

Unfortunately, this game doesnt offer any of these. But i'll explain why in this review.

Gameplay: Apon login, you are treated with a brief guide on how to play.



The controls are quite simple. Move with the numpad arrow keys, and use your characters moves with 1, 7, 9, and 3. Most of the time your character either has 1 or 2 moves, though.

From there you are treated with a selection of 3 characters. You can unlock more by defeating other people in-game, by raising your kill count.



There are other options such as team color, but nobody uses this. And of course there are rankings, but these are also pointless because 80% of the high rankings are from staff members and thier unlegitimate kills.

Anyways, after selecting which of the 3 characters you would like to use, you are then sent to the spawn where you look for other megaman characters and try to defeat them.

The games major balancing issue is the strength of various characters. During multiple occasions on trying to kill people, you will notice that most of the people playing select that characters who have the ability to kill you in like, 3 hits. Add that and the slippery controls and you have yourself a very difficult time trying to get a single kill.

I've tried rotating through the characters I was given from the start, but to my dismay do they all do the exact same thing.

Anyways, apart from extreme difficulty in trying to get a single kill, there is the staff.

Now, I'll be the one to say that the games staff is.. Extremely abusive. I suggest, if you play this game, either kiss up to them or try not using OOC at all. They will not hesitate to ban you; and the owner does not seem to care what they do.

A good example. I'm trying to get a simple kill, and one of the admins "Holydoomknight" is sitting at the bottom of the area, in an unreachable area, shooting people with a beam that kills you in 2 hits.



Its ridiculous. Don't bother saying something about it on OOC; both him & the owner of the game will ignore you, and the sour community will yell at you. Its just one of the many traditions in this game.



Thats basically all there is to the gameplay. Killing people isnt even worth the effort; your character is either too weak or too strong. The staff creates a whole different factor for the game, and this game includes possibly the biggest staff I have ever seen. Unfortunately they do not do anything worth mentioning.

Presentation: There arent any sound effects, or notable graphics to the game. The login screen looks like It was done in 2 minutes.



(Im sure the guy who did this was also given staff member.)

Though I will say that the lack of sound effects is a good thing. The massive attack spam this game induces would be too hard to tolerate.

Originality: The game offers a wide range of Megaman characters, puts them into an arena, and thier goal is to kill each other. Its a simplistic concept; though this game delivers it horribly. It's systems are quite linear, the gameplay is redundant and boring.

All of the characters play the same, the only difference is the number of damage that they inflict. This game has difficulty in balancing even that.

Overall: This game isn't worth playing. Even if you're an avid Megaman fan, you'll get 5 minutes of this game before you get annoyed. With the combined efforts of a sour community, and the notoriously abusive, and useless staff.

If you're looking for an arguably more balanced game, then I suggest waiting for Oondivinezin to put his SSB Byond game back up. Until then, stay far away from this game.
