Considering we haven't seen any of ATHK's work aside from byondpanel.com, It'd be odd to elect ATHK to such a position. If anything, the BYOND website should be a community effort.
I don't know how difficult it would be for Lummox to publish a version of the website that is cleaned of possible private/security-related things, on something like Github or Bitbucket, but that would probably be the best thing, rather than having a single developer who might not have the same views on the website; because we might end up with something horrific like Xirre's mockup. | |

Okay fine you win, but can we get a logo that actually look like a gaming logo... like do something with the atom. The logo makes it look like a Educational Science site for kids... to me atleast.

I'm fairly sure this is a historical thing; the "atom" is a concept in DM programming, being the root object type of all other objects. (Area, Turf, Object, Mob.) I kinda like the logo; it's a little BYOND in-joke. | |
I say keep the atom... but do something a little more gamish with it... Idk something away from the science like aura.

I agree that this should be a community-based initiative though, as opposed to just appointing one person and saying "You - make a new front page."
I'm happy to volunteer my time on it too - I work as a web developer these days, so it'd be nice to work on something of personal relevance. | |

1 dedicated person would be better.. this is BYOND trying to rely on everyone prob won't go to well. And its crazy how people were saying "To much to time for lummox blah blah blah" then ATHK offers now everyone saying "Shouldn't be for a single person". You guys don't know what you want lol.

But none of that is as important as Lummox just working on the BYOND engine. It'd be a lot of effort to revamp the site in that way, and frankly, it wouldn't do a thing to help BYOND's image. 100% guaranteed.
