Where is the Byond Installer?

I download byond and it just runs. There is no "setup.exe" so if I use dream maker everything's untitled.

Look at first screenshot. "Setup.exe" does not come in the executable.

Ive been testing things out, they seem to work fine but it just looks ugly/annoying doesn't it? http://i52.tinypic.com/28wdp1t.png.

There is no "setup.exe" - the exe is the setup.
Right-click each of those files in Windows Explorer and Open With Dreammaker.

Interestingly enough that made no difference in the actual working environment. http://i56.tinypic.com/5e8z2h.png

The only known fixes I ever had (few years back) were from me downloading an older version of byond where the installer is actually found. All that effort shouldn't need to be done though. I'm pretty close to just reporting this as a bug report.

That's the zip version. The actual EXE has a few more files in its bin folder (such as ByondStub.dll). Looking at your screenshots, only the zip version (the wrong one for you, unless you want a portable install) has finished downloading.

ZIP files in Windows 7 have a little zipper on them. The BYOND EXE should have the BYOND symbol in a little box.

Oh, Okay. I see what happened here. When I unzipped, the zip file broke into two sections. A byond folder and the EXE. You'd think everything would just end up in the byond folder, heh. Its funny how it even lets you use byond without first clicking the EXE.

Thanks for the help Dark and you too Murry. Things feel prettier. ;P
