ANY?! I want to do a medieval RPG at last resort.
Space Age?

That's what I was thinking, but you see, I don't have any ideas for it.

Maybe you should consider gameplay mechanics and a setting will come out of them. Regardless of setting if your game just boils down to killing one group of monster until a certain level, followed by another, then another, etc. You'll end up with the same boring game despite setting.

Good idea. Thats sort of the reason I wanted to stay away from Medieval style, because most(almost all of them) have monsters you kill until a certian level.
Steampunk is always fun. :P

[EDIT]

And if you don't know what that word means, think of the fairly recent movies Around The World in 80 Days, The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, and Wild Wild West.

Pre-Medieval? Stone Age? Bronze Age? Roman Empire?
Yes. A coloization-of-planets RPG would be interesting. You know, kill da aliens, build a mansion with available resources, the use a starship to go between worlds. It is better in my imagination than it sounds in print tho...
