Hi uh, I started learning how to use BYOND through the docs and I probably am thinking too far ahead but also want to know what I'm able to do realistically before getting far ahead in learning.
Can I make an online 2D card game, similar to how Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links functions? Without the graphical flashiness of course.

Another developer, Kozuma3, recently asked for some help regarding fanning/animating the cards on a players' screen so that it looks all fancy-dancy. Kozuma appears to be going for a card-based combat system, though, kind of like Slay the Spire.
So yes, this is totally possible. It will probably be a fairly involved process to get everything working like you want, and I urge you to ask questions about the roadblocks you will inevitably encounter either on the Developer Help forums or in one of our unofficial Discord servers. The two largest ones are Kaiochao's BYOND Discord server and Ter13's "BYONDiscord!" server.
