Yep, more server foo delays this week. It's been really difficult to plan out nights and that's when I can get that stuff done, so... yeah, still lagging on that. And there are still some issues going on with family obligations. At least I've gotten more software work done.
New releases went out this week for 515 and the 516 alpha, with a bunch of bug fixes—some of them really complicated. This also exposed an issue in 516 that I had to fix before the alpha release, where turfs in visual contents were doubling their offsets, which was a major pain to fix. And right after those releases, I got a new report (thankfully not a regression) that was similar to some of the others I'd just dealt with but actually a lot harder to fix.
Since then I've continued on bug investigations while also moving some stuff forward for 516. I had some more odd reports to look into, including some not-bugs that still showed up some areas where I could improve the engine. A discussion of JavaScript-based winset/winget reminded me I'd been working on code for a better approach to those in 516, and it hadn't actually been hooked up and tested yet, so that was another thing to handle.
Anyway, the week has gone about as well for development as I could hope, all things considered.
Thank you so much to all of the BYOND Members and the regular supporters on Patreon and SubscribeStar. I couldn't get any of this done without you.
Next week, we face a pivotal elec—no wait. But there is an outside chance Arizona will finish counting votes before Thanksgiving. Keep calm and mak gam.
