A Naruto Text Arena. Attacks differ depending on your Clan, Class, and Village. Some Combinations have no techniques. Others May have the best but not get them till a high level.
Hey Sleinth, your naruto game was one of the games (including Katekyou Hitman Reborn text based game by Roxas) that inspired me to make some text based games. I also made a naruto one (not trying to advertise or anything) but I'd love to help you with this Naruto RPG, I have a couple of clans and stuff made like 10-15 somewhere around those numbers as well as a way to get some akatsuki clans and tailed beast. (I know the balancing for the game isn't that good btw, but I made this when I was a bit younger.) But if you like it and would like help with this game. (Cause I've always liked this game.) I'll more than gladly do so.
Sorry left out something in my other post, each clan has at least 5 skills at the very least 5. You have to be a certain level and have certain stat req. to unlock them though. ^^
At this time I'm are considering changing to a tile based system. This system would be a side scrolling real time combat system. I have always said if I found a way to get an artist I would and I sort of have one.

Art will be done Side scroller style like I said above. Each area will be designed like an Arena so combat can be started anywhere, certain areas maybe peaceful for now. Once movement is done I will release a demo to show how it looks. This isnt "set in stone" yet. If people don't like it I can always go back since I havent linked any of the code to movement yet. Give me your opinions

Responding to Trigun13, we do need help with coding and icon files. Right now we are still working on a mob to use, however if anyone with experience can make one that would be awesome. Otherwise it may take sometime.
As far as help with the actual coding process, we could use someone to help, however it would be purely to make things go faster.
sorry it took so long to make a post but the holidays and all.
So 4 days later and we have a working outline for the mob (this is literally an outline of the mob lol). it can move from left to right, crouch, do a low or high punch and a low or high kick. I plan on adding jumping and throwing weapons next. Jumping might take a while though.

So I dont have a screenshot for ya'll yet but I hopefully will soon. I would like to hear some feed back on what I am working on.

Pixel Artist Needed
So we have a mob outline to start work on our long project, however we need someone to color, shade, and edit our current mob. We need the current outline to be editted for size, gender, and to be fitted with overlays. Also there is no coloring or shading done on the mob. The game rocks, and I've currently decided to play around with it for awhile. . . After a few hours, with my brother and sister. I had decided to host it, without the admins tab, seeing how it didn't come with it to begin with. Surely, there is a reason for that. Anyhow, I will continue to host until further notice. Or the creator takes it down.
It was best without the actual characters, can't say I look forward to the side scroller. Too many of those already. Text based, is unique.
I'm not really sure what Im doing with Naruto RPG at this point and time. I have a new born boy and its hard to find the time to work on the project with him screaming every 10 minutes. lol
I have it set up without host commands because the game was designed for a single host originally. However if I see your session active I can add the host commands to you.
Alright, I will be hosting it, 24/7 now. I will wait until you hop on and give me the Admins tab, though I may be AFK/Sleep during that random time. I don't know, but what I do know is. I will be hosting the hell out of this game, because I really like it as is.
would be nice for someone else to have the host commands and actually be active so players are able to progress though the game.
well it seems people prefer the Text-based mode so text it is. Ill start reworking everything immediately.
also NarutoRocks3000 has Admin Commands. If you can get him on the server he can do just about anything you need except give you commands.
So I've been working for 2 days to make a Test Version of the game. It works, however it is a long way from complete. I am currently looking for a host. If you are able please post here. Below are the details on the Test Version.

This Time around Im added a Talent System. This will be used to decide which areas you want your character to specialize in, verse the last version where the Taijutsu Specialists were the only ones who could dual wield and they couldn't get Ninjutsu for example. This time you start with a Talent based on your Ninja Type and gain 1 every so often thru your Ninja Type. you also get to pick a Talent every 5 levels. I've added Some Example talents below.

This is just a list of what I have added, not including Puppet Proficiency (Sorry). Hopefully this will make each character more unique than in the last version.

Another Change will be more Balanced Clans and Character Types. In the Last version it wasn't very well balanced. However potentially at some point you could have all jutsu that are not unique or Clan-based.

So after a lot of thinking I want to ask everyone a question before I start making changes to the game like the new talent system. What is it that you, the players, like about Naruto RPG? I need to know what parts of this game are popular. for example, did you like being able to team up against large groups of enemies, did you like the who stat panel, or did you like the Skill system? anything you have to say I would like to hear. Speak up because I have a tendency to do changes in search of improvement. thank you :)
so I was working on some functionality today, hopefully what I did will reduce lag.
I also added the Talent System in. Now when a new Technique is available you must spend skill points to learn it. Depending on what Talents you have and how far you have progressed your 3 skills will determine what you have available. Later on I will be changing the System to use something other than skill points to learn new Techniques. This should allow unique combinations of Techniques.
The last thing is something I changed already, in the last version you were limited to 7 opponents, in this you are limited to 5. However for each person added to your team you can add additional Opponents. I wouldn't advice it but a large group will max out at 8 members and will allow 2 additional opponents per member (21 maximum).

Ive added a few new Techniques, I have a lot more to add. on a side note The Lightning Techniques require you wield 2 swords and that you have the talent Sword Proficiency. I will add different Lightning Techniques eventually.
