History of Charmed
Charmed (Jayhawk/Hawkbane): Started 24 December 2004
The first ever Charmed game to hit Byond was made by the creator of Charmed, Jayhawk. Although he was originally known as Hawkbane. The game has been online for 2 or 3 years untill it was eventually ended, life got to busy for the creator Jay. This game had 3 stages.
Charmed Online (Xoule): Started 02 March 2006
The second Charmed game to hit byond, just like the first, it was an original game and proved to be a great succes and loved by many players. This game has several official and un-official sequals.
Charmed: Role Play (SyncWolf): April 2006
This was the first sequal to Jayhawks Charmed game, created out of the Source code of the first stage of Charmed, this code is still around on byond somewhere. Although the game never lived up to the original, it took a different turn by adding in ranks and player owned houses. It also introduced roleplaying into the game. It was later continued under a new name and hub by a new large update.
Charmed: Rebirth of Magic (SyncWolf): June 2006.
Rebirth was the official sequal to Jayhawks Charmed and Charmed Role Play, bringing the teacher system to life, based upon the system in Jayhawks Charmed stage 3. Rebirth has been around ever since, having it's ups and downs like most games, although maybe a bit to extreme at some points. Somewhere in 2007 a version got leaked out and is now base for many Charmed games for inexperienced coders.

Final Fantasy 5: Another World
A game based in the world of Final Fantasy 5, if you like Final Fantasy or if you never played any of 2D Final Fantasy games, then this will be a good experience to discover them. Unfortunatly it is only in beta 2, so it is far from complete and only has a short content of quests. The community however is very friendly and people are oftenly willing to help.
Resident Evil Online 2
A very nice action game, ranging in difficulty from slow to fast action, if you like shooting hordes of enemy's, you have to try this! Join one of the servers and try to survive as long as you can. Will you survive the horde of zombies or will you fall and become one of them?

Just incase someone is actually reading this, which i doubt they are, i figured id let everyone know what happened the the server. A few weeks ago and from that point on, PA, where i live, has been getting hit very badly by storms made off the coast of the south altantic. This has causes flooding, power outages and telephone/internet disruptions for the past 3 or so weeks. I would have brought the game up inbetween thoses times, but the games down time would outweigh its up time and i did not wish to put the players through that. Obviously thinking of you. The storms have lessend here and so i feel that i will hopefully have a more stable connection next week. In which case my server along with its old saves will be back up and running 24/7 as before. Sorry for the inconvience.

I dont really think that the games being a rip really comes into play here. Standing alone, it is a freat game. Fun to play, easy to use, interesting. It has the right systems and it allows you to do alot of the things that you could do in Charmed. However... With Sync, there is the problem. The immaturity level, the egotistical instability of it all, causes a greater threat to the game then the game itself. Shutting down the server on players because you feel like it, or ignoring players because you are just "Not in the mood"(Which would be okay if it happened every once in a while... But this is a constant problem with you) is not acceptable. Yes, you are a great coder. I dont deny that. Yes the game itself is great and im sure alot of players feel that way as well. Other wise people just world play it anymore. But just having the skills to make a good game isnt enough. There is alot more that needs to be done. Alot more then you need to do. Because so far, whats been done, is not cutting it. And it is driving people away. And you can coninue to act immaturely about this, and continue this instability with the server and with yourself as well on the game, but in the end, people will just leave. And then it will be just you and a few others..(Which is is dwindling down to now) And soon those few people will leave you. And then what will you have? A hollow game. A good game. But empty... And like stated before this is all opinion. But supported by what i have seen myself, and heard. Maybe, you will take it to heart. You always say you cant change things when you dont know what there is to change. Well, you have been told. And this isnt just something thats come from me. Many people have told you the same thing... So now you know. This is the time for change.

I agree with Moussiffer. Without the players you wouldn't have a game. You tend to think because you own the game it allows you to be a asshole and treat players like shit. The way you run the game is exactly why there nobody plays. You say you don't have the time? You said you don't have the motivation to work on the game. So obviously it's not that you don't have the time, you just don't know how to properly run a game. And as I said what you do to the game, teleports and etc is very simple things a ripper can do themself. I mean you can't even change training. Instead of hitting train like the original game all you do is stab it like you would hit a speedbag in dragonball rips. I don't think your game will ever become anything more than it is now, especially with you having the attitude you do.

That first point sounded kind of selfish. Actually. Really selfish. The players are the ones that make the game. Not just you(And you just fill in the physical work that goes into it). Without them you would just have a server thats empty. Telling people you have to listen to me or else... Isnt the best way to go about running a game. It should be a compromise between what the players what and what the owner wants. Other wise it is less of a game, and more of a dictatorship, where he dont really have a choice. As you have shown us just now and in the past with the game.
As far as staff goes, i have not seen 3 of the 4 RPMs online in over a week. One of them showed up randomly one day this week and then hasnt been heard from since. And the one i have seen, the most active of them all... Was just made RPM. So thats 1 RPM to 15+ Players. Because most days the server reaches atleast 15 players.
Same goes for the one and only GM.
As for ranks, there are players on the game that have had ranks before, and are qaulified to use them, but without RPMs who are giving RP status and reading stories and RPing with them so they can get the rank... Noone has gotten ranks. Noone besides You and Sesha who is also a RPM. And then 3 other people, one of those ranks being a lesser rank thats not as important rank for RP.
I dont want to sound insensitive, but ive seen you online everytime i log on. And you arent working. Atleast not while im on. Either you are playing another game or you are avioding this game. And as you said earlier when i asked why you were giving me attitude for no reason... It is your mood(It is ALWAYS your mood.). And your mood is better when you just dont sign on or when you ignore the game... So how is time against you? When you are ignoring us and/or the game. You seem to have time and a half. When you want to have lovey dovey time with Sesha in the bat cave, you seem to have time and a half. But when it comes to ingame events that involve the others time is agaisnt you? Somehting ive noticed, everytime Sesha comes on, you automatically come back to the game. But when she leaves so do you. Or you ignore it.refuse to work with us... I think thise goes back to my first point of selfishness.
And not to be a smart ass... Lawl. but this is the discussion part of the hub. Lawl... Not like many people really read this. But if someone is going to play your game, i think they have the right to know what the players think and feel about it. Which is the whole reason BYOND put this here.

Plenty of things i could and probably should reply to, but i won't remember them all as i go along the points.
1) You do not have freedom of speech, when playing my game you are to keep yourself to my rules. It's still my right to decide wether one is allowed to play or not.
2) People want more powers or more customization options, so i give them more things, wether it be a duplicate with another animation or not. As for the game, very little of the game is still the same from when it was when i recieved the source code. Energyballs for example are completely adjusted to work better with the system. Teleport for example is completely remade from scratch and is far from similar to the original. Even if some still do use the same animation. The login, although adjusted, is one of the only things thats actually close to the original. But this also because its a library and not self written.
3) As far as staff goes, 3 people have been hired in the past week or 2, so that is still being handled. The lack of players just doesn't rush me into doing so. As for people being blacklisted, that is true indeed. Some people i refuse to allow to be part of the staff again for reasons i don't feel like stating now. I rather handle that in a direct conversation.
4) Since i've started my job at HP back in december and now at Adobe, time has been against me. The majority of the issues came since last wipe, which has been the worst in a long time. Ranks should have been given more by now, yet experience shows that its better to not have a rank then havin someone who isn't qualified to have it.
Eitherway, i'm not here to discuss and most of these comments are from ignorance since you only know half of it. Same problem i have, i know to little about things ingame. I do know things but not all i should/need to know.

For SyncWolf the fact that I was cussing wasn't the true problem. When he dosen't get what he wants, like people fighting. Instead of dealing with the problem he runs by in this case banning me, in the last case accuse a girl of doing something she didn't do, and in the case of before that was closing the server for over a day. He likes to think he's some billy bad ass god that everybody has to bow down to. I mean from what I hear he has some internet relationship with this Sesha girl that he will probably never meet. He's not the brightest bulb in the box...

Hmm... Not to be the bearer of bad news here... But at some points I have to agree with both of you.
1. Freedom of speech is a right we all have. BUT, when it infringes on others by way of insult (Wheither it is an opinion or not) rules and laws are set in place to moderate such freedoms.(Makes you wonder if it is really a freedom at all)
2.Sync may have used the Source he got from Jay, but that hasnt stopped the game from growing and expanding into what it is now. Is it a rip?... Yes... Does that makes it evil? No. Sync has put alot of time and effort into added and expanding the game into something that is different from what it first started off as. Wheither it is just by copy and pasting to make different color energyballs, or if it is adding unique and complex systems to the game, that have not been seen before.
3. As far as staff goes... Sync, you say "Lack of staff and people qualifying for it doesn't help. I refuse to give out ranks to just anyone just for the reason of nobody having the rank." I call this bull shit. You hire people for the job that are inconsistant players. People that have been known to up and quit and/or leave the game for long periods of time. Not only that. But you have people on the game that have been RPMs and Admins and GMs before, and you REFUSE to give them positions. EVEN WHEN, your other staff members are absent or refuse to do there jobs. Regardless of past instances... If there is a need to be filled. Sitting around with ready able people, and NOT using them, is just plain stupid.
I dont want to insult anyone directly but just to point out a few examples. Before Sesha got her new computer, she would come on, for hours and You(Sync)and her would sit around in game doing whatever with eachother or out of game talkingor whatever. While people in game BEGGED for a RPM and Admin to come to there aid. Leaving regular players in compromising positions where they had to use there best abilities to help people, or get ahold of you. And this goes on constantly, when both you and Sesha are Admin and RPMs and both you and here have powers that you refuse to use to help the game, as well as the other RPMs and Admins and GMs for that matter... One time when Sesha was on, a group of people asked her if she would RP with them (And again, not trying to call her out or anything, but just making examples, and this happened recently so it is more valid). Her reply was "My ity bity computer screen is to small."
My response to this... If your computer screen is to small for you to do your job... Why do you still have the job? It wasnt to small for her to comment back. And it certainly isnt to small for her to come on and talk to you(Sync). But it is, however, to small for her to WATCH a few people RP and then give them a RP status.... Again. Why do you have this job if you can not do it. And this goes for other staff members. As Satellite says, most of the time they say they are "To tired". If you are tired... WHY COME ON THE GAME?! And please... Tell me how tiring is it to sit there and WATCH peoples post. You hadly have to move unless they are moving. you dont have to RP with them. Just watch them, and give them status accordingly. Thats all most people want. But in return we get stuff like "Im to tired" or "Sorry im about to go AFK" Which is another problem... You yourself (Sync) IGNORES players... Constantly. And so does your staff. People that need them. They get IGNORED. Alot of the times your staff is "AFK" they admit to not be AFK but just watching the game... Watching the game and ignoring players when they ask for RPMs and GMs. When they need there stories read and want someone to watch them RP for a status... I say, if you are unwilling to do you job while you are online. You SHOULD NOT have a job. Its that simple.
Id also like to point out that more then half of the staff has left you. Refusing to play anymore. Gem, Blade, Nico, and others, have ceased playing the game.(Alot of the causes that i have gotten from them all stem back to problems with you Sync) And in turn, left us all hanging in our time of need. And yet, when they come back, they certainly are the ones that return to power and get RPM, GM, and Admin. And lets not act like this isnt the case...
On another related note. There are a few able bodied ACTIVE players on your game that have requested positions on your staff. It has come to my knowledge that immaturely on your part. You hold private meetings with people on the staff to determine if a player is good enough to be part of the staff. And these choices arent decided on if they are right for the job, if they know the rules, if they help players even without staff powers... No... This choice is made based on popularity. And the choices are made by those VERY SAME PEOPLE that are inactive and refuse to do there jobs now...
Just to point out that this is not just meant for my perticular case with you. However it is what i am basing it off of. There have been other people on the game that have gotten the same treatment. Blacklisting because of immaturity... Largely on your part Sync.
I would rather have staff members that need some training, or are alittle tougher on the rules or that do there job and do it correctly... Than have staff members that are inacitve... Or just dont do anything at all.(Big ego or not... Having someone doing something to help is better then having noone doing nothing at all [in my case]) You used to know and believe in this. But somewhere along the line it seemed to have slipped you.
Alot of people like to say that it is the players that ruin the game. I myself have heard you (Sync) say that you quit because of some player issues...(Not to mention the quitting problem which i dont think needs to be address... It speaks for itself.) I feel this is wrong. The players dont ruin the game. The Owner does. After all, it is you that decides what goes into the game, it is you who decides who is on the staff, and at this point, it is even you who decides when the server is up and down and when the newest updates are released to the public. Yes I feel players have a role on the destruction of a game. But a small role at that. Life is about choices... And when you choose to treat people this way, when you choose to let the game deteriorate, when you choose to act and carry yourself in such a manner... I dont feel the players are to blame. Lets not forget that there have been a few players lately, not even on the staff, that have just up and quit the game because if you directly Sync. Maybe not because you forced them As i said, it is about choices. And they made the choice. But in turn you did have a large hand in there choice.
4. On the whole... Charmed: Rebirth of Magic is a GOOD game. Although the staff is not always the best, and the Owner could benifit from working WITH the players instead of AGAINST them or for himself... In turn this is a good game. At times, this came be the most fun game around. The game itself is unique and interesting. RP, when done properly, is also a wonderful part of the game, making Ranks and Hybrids and dual skill sets possible. C:RoM is one of my favorite games on BYOND. As i have told many people, which is why i continue to play it.
I like Charmed. And as people in the Charmed community know on BYOND i have helped many a Charmed game in my time. Not for power or for glory, as some will say. But because i generally love Charmed. Somewhere along the line, we have all seemed to forgotten why we play in the first place. Because we love the show and we love the games...
So in conclusion to this very long message. I do like C:RoM. And in some ways i agree with both Sync and Satellite. And this is all just my opinion. Which is all i can give. Take it how you want, but eventually, someones going to have to give, or this game is going to continue to fold in on itself until there is nothing left.

What are we 10? Afraid of cuss words like asshole? I mean seriously, grow up. BYOND is intended for ages 13+ as by law that's how old you have to be to sign up without parents permission, and I promise you nobody has their parents permission. I played Jayhawk's game, probably before you ever heard about it, so I know how it was. That' doesn't change the fact that I am skeptical of your coding abilities as everything you have added are repeats. 3 different energy ball? A fireball? It's like you can't code anything so you repeat things over and just change their names. Like 5 different kinda of teleport? Your staff you have now isn't qualified... I have seen quite a few players try to apply that seem more than qualied that you seem to ignore. People, including me and trained for a month to get ranks, gotten class 5 even RP 24/7 to get a rp rank, yet none of your staff seem to be on. Or they say they are to tired. Therefor you are not active enough in your own game to run it the way it needs to be run. I see no new content that shows you can code, other than copy/paste a energy ball code and change it to *dark* or whatever energy ball. Cussing is freedom of speech, as a cuss word is speech. Insult is a opinion, therefor still speech. I stand by everything I have said, and I think you will find I am not the only one who agrees if you ask around. I have seen many people doubt your abilities which is one of the reasons I brought it up.
