  • Somehow make it so that there are two versions of "Live Games": games that are live, and games that are live with actual players on them. The front page is showing games which are being hosted, but don't have any players on them with which to play.
You could filter this stuff on the front page by implementing some kind of algorithm that checks if there are players on the server and if they are active (for instance those Iccusion games always have "Iccusion Entertainment" logged in, which would spoil the results).
  • As I suggested more filters; we should definately have the ability to filter based on the amount of players logged in, or perhaps even filter on player name or the servers' world.status variable or the server version (world.version).
  • It would be nice if the forums would have AJAX!
  • The "Popular Guilds" list should omit the official guilds (like BYOND RPG, BYOND Strategy, etc.) because they're already advertised a lot. The freed space opens up more spots other guilds can fill.
  • For BYOND Members, perhaps the ability to watch keys would be nice? It would appear below "Favorite forums" on the personal site and would allow you to stalk people more effectively see in which game(s) they're currently in as well as a button to goto their members page.
  • The paging system could be moved to the website as well, as a sort-of private messaging system. You can send short messages to others which are stored on the website as a private message. When the recipient logs into the BYOND Pager they'll automatically receive the message on their pager.
You can store private messages so you can recall them later, but they use a quota system, where BYOND Members have more space for their messages than non-members do. (Non-members need space since BYOND Members may want to send them a message.)
Additionally, it should be possible to tick a checkbox in your profile and have those private messages automatically be deleted as you receive them on your pager.
The purpose of this system is to be able to message someone even when they're offline.
  • The ability to modify the styling of the website for those that don't like this style. Either provide a custom means for specifying style (by allowing you to pick colors for background, links, etc.) and/or a theme system (where you have a dropdown menu where you can pick the theme you want to use). Perhaps BYOND Members can override the theme for their member pages regardless of the theme you selected in your profile?
