Laptop HDD Dead

So, my laptop's harddrive is basically unusable, which sucks because I had every single one of my C++ and PHP resources and projects on it. Console++ is gone (though I can't say that was that far along anyway), some forum PHP scripts I was working on are gone, and every single one of my ebooks is gone. I need another harddrive. The harddrive that came with the laptop 6 years ago was a Seagate Ultra-ATA/100, which I heard is the same thing, or compatible with, ATA-6.

Another year that I've got nothing to show for.
At least my Harry Potter project was backed up.

And it isn't even my laptop, it's my dad's. Of course, I'll be forking out the money if I can raise it to replace the harddrive. I use it the most. I just wish I had a desk to put it on.

Holiday Gifts

I opened up my present to see...
that it was a box of ******* nothing!

I've been known as an Atheist for some time now. I can't say that I didn't expect this, even though Christmas is secular in America.

Merry Christmas! Yuletide! (Other Holidays Here)!

...and you guys said atheists have no moral fiber. >:D

MIT OpenCourseWare

MIT OpenCourseWare is a branch of MIT's website that allows users to download course materials for classes that have already been given. I'm going through all of the MIT Electrical Engineering and Computer Science courses and they are really helpful.

The site provides a syllabus for the entire course, a listing of the reading materials assigned, lecture notes, the assignments, exams, and projects projects used during that particular class, study materials, and discussion groups (which is essentially a forum for the particular course).

For anyone looking to go to college for anything MIT has to offer, I strongly recommend looking into MIT OpenCourseWare. They're free and they're the next best thing to actually taking the course. You're really doing yourself a favor by going through what interests you. Even if you're not looking to go to college (or have already graduated), they're a nice refresher or way to learn about Computer Science (of course, without the degree, what you know means nothing).

Quest by Deadron

This is by far one of my favorite libraries. It's very flexible and a very good way to handle quests. It's so simple, too, both in implementation and in the inner workings, yet robust and powerful! Unique and amazing! Shows what a little thought can bring you.

5 out of 5
Documentation is fun and simple, too.

Decision 2008 [Reconsidered]

Now that Stephen Colbert is officially unable to run for presidency (he wasn't going to win anyway), the only candidate worth mentioning is Ron Paul. No more income tax! No more Federal Reserve!
