Official Harvest Moon Online
I'm completely overwhelmed and excited that Marvelous Interactive has finally decided to create an official Harvest Moon for the internet. Not much has been said of it, and screenshots have not yet been leaked out. The due-date is somewhere between 2008-2009. Marvelous Interactive claim it will be for Xbox360 and PS3. Although, there have been rumors that it will also be for PC. We do not know what kind of graphics will be used, or what the gameplay will be like. Obviously, Marvelous Interactive would let us know when the time is right.
Harvest Moon was, and still is one of my favorite game series. Although I have only played Harvest Moon, Harvest Moon: Friends of Mineral town, and Harvest Moon: Save the homeland, I'm quite fond of the little series. Many people don't appreciate the game, but I am certain once the game is released, and their friends are playing it, they'll want to play it too!
I can just image running your Farm like in any other Harvest Moon game. You finish all your chores around the farm and you get some things and head for the town. But instead of NPCs wandering around and talking to you, there will be REAL people walking around, browsing shops, talking to eachother, and interacting with the world around them. Who knows, maybe you'll get married to that perfect girl. But this time instead of just showering her with gifts and talking to her occasionally, you'll be able to actually talk to her.
All in all, I can't wait for Harvest Moon Online to come up. Although I'm not quite sure if they're gonna make you pay to play, though. Perhaps there will be subscriptions that allow you to gain access to more things and features. Either way, I'm holding my breath for this game to come up.
