Actually, funny enough, the main part of programming isn't adjusting code snippets to suite your needs, but to come up with inventive solutions to problems on your own.
Thus nothing should prevent you from developing your own system.
But, I can tell you some good news. Jotdaniel agreed on my suggestion. He had the intention to start writing on the article last Tuesday, but
I guess he got a little busy.
i indeed would very much like to see how you created your iso demo. i haven't looked into isometric movement involving z levels and the like because i haven't found any good sources yet

I wonder if you have considered adding a commented demo of your isometric movement test game, announced by a nice little Dream Makers article on the topic.
It seems like it could hit a nice little audience after the public release and maybe some more developers would find their liking of the Dream Makers articles ;)
