Aparently there's some interest in me out there
I dont know whether to be flattered or further disappointed with the lackluster community we have around here, that not unlike spamming decompiled resources or RSC decompilers with my name on them, i have had apparently my publicly disclosed information "leaked". I dont know whether or not its significant to disclose something found on the yellow pages or not, but i have to say the real surprise is that apparently DarkWizard PAID, and no im not kidding, he PAID BigBoiD to find and disclose this information. Ironically the one instance of it i found still intact was incorrect so i think im fine.
I dont know what to say, at the very core of any bitter argument or attack on somebody's character there is the dispute about who is the bigger loser. I dont think ive ever bothered to photoshop a picture of anybody in an attempt to "pwn" them on the internet, nor have I ever paid somebody to look up personal information on the internet. I dont know what type of lame posse bigboiD is affiliated with, i know hes been one of the guys from the same obnoxious group of people who have always managed to get in my face on many an occasion. Im not all that worried about the information given out, what I am concerned with is the amount of Internet Angst i have managed to create. I dont fully understand when trying to get laughs out of me got so desperate that you guys started memorizing quotations of things ive said, when it got sad enough that messing with photoshop to make me look silly or when it got pathetic enough that DarkWizard who ive never understood what his problem is, and i thought he was a convicted pedophile which does concern me, but regardless, would try to leak sensitive information about me in an attempt to get me harassed.
If you are so inclined to desperately learn about my personal life, despite the fact that it is irrelevant here. I just finished my 3rd year of my program, for the first two years i was in a double major with computer science but I have decided id rather finish in 4 years and have opted to stick with Accounting which really doesnt mix well with computer science anyway. Im taking a spring Auditing course to ensure i finish on time since a double degree sets you up to a 5 year program. I like Accounting more because its a managment degree, it will put me in a career in which i get to talk to people and whats more I get to have lots of opportunities as accountants have a strong understanding of how an entire business works. I will one day become a Chartered Accountant, which is a designation you recieve after having finished the 4 year program and working 2 years and passing a very scary test. Chartered Accountants make buttloads of money but thats not really my largest appeal to the job. I hope to work in the oil and gas sector which is huge in Calgary, but i still have some work to do before i get to do that.
I live at home and intend to until my degree is completed, the housing market in Calgary went bat-shit crazy in the last few years and its pretty much impossible for somebody my age to afford to move out without help from the parents. On that note, i know these twins who moved out from home recently, they were looking for a roommate and asked me. This was very exciting except for the fact that i cant afford it, this is significant because it is the most depressing missed opportunity of my life, or at least top 5 material for sure, it is not every day that you get the chance to move in with two gorgeous twins. Uhmm, more personal stuff right.. I dont have any animals, my mom is either very allergic or a liar and very scared of most animals.
I say this because she is terrified of dogs and cats and it has been a constant suspicion of mine that she is a liar and not allergic at all. So ive only ever had hamsters which while adorably cute only last around 2 years. So after the second hamster (both affectionatly named "Gophey" for their resemblance to gophers) our family reverted to a petless household. I have three best friends, James, Kayley and Nicole, i could not pick a number 1 from them for a number of reasons. I dont really like sports, i pretend I do because Calgary loves its hockey and we just recently got pwned in the 7th game of the first round of the playoffs which I had to follow. So i dont like sports but i do like movies a great deal, i love going out for dinner at interesting places and i enjoy the bars and clubs once and a while (as soon as the last memory of a hangover fades). Uhhm, i dont know why my real life fascinates people but im trying to throw the desperate masses a bone. Theres nothing incredibly interesting about me, I date periodically but currently Im single but by my own admission is my fault for focusing on the same person instead of playing the field. Uhh theres not a lot to me really, I belong to a business club called the personal portfolio management group, (PPMG for short) as the director of communications. Its a fun little club which ill be going on a little trip with this weekend which is described as a club retreat and im a little excited for that.
I like making games on BYOND as a hobby that i usually do late at night when i have nothing better to do but sleep, I dont watch anime anymore nor have I since highschool ended. I do however keep up with the manga of Naruto and Bleach since they have a Heroes style cliffhanger continuity going on where I need to know what happens next as if its some sort of horrible addiction. Nobody i know is aware that i read manga and even once when i was drinking at some little house with a friend of mine and some 5/10 friend of hers we actually had the awquard situation of channel surfing, finding Naruto and proceeding to watch it for the sake of being amazed at how lame it is. So to be fair I do see both perspectives of it, watching the horrible naruto dub with people who dont watch anime for the sake of laughing while drunk was certainly funny and hypocritical at the same time.
For those hoping to stumble across some big secret like finding out that im actually really covered in acne or something exciting like that, goodluck on your journey. Your quest to find out the personal life of somebody on the internet is honestly a fairly large waste of time. The phone numbers ive seen posted have been unfortunately for you, incorrect. My family is not a big fan of landlines, everybody simply owns their own cell phone (or in my moms case 2). We do have a landline but i dont think we are listed in any directory because we used to get shitty spam recorded scams called in to us. Goodluck though, i think this entire trying to upset me over the internet attempt is pathetic though, I have to say, but if you guys are that fascinated with my personal life you wont have that hard of a time getting it from me. Its not embarrassing, Im a management student and im not as obsessed with computers or programming as many people here are, Ive never claimed to be the best programmer on BYOND but due to a lack of competition I am certainly far better than average. My point to being on BYOND was never to gloat about my superiority, and i must have seriously offended some people to get this type of attention. Regardless, I do like who i am, what im doing career-wise and how I do in my social life. If you would like to try and dig deep in an attempt to get dirt out of me, i saved you some time. Theres really nothing more to know about me. I hope you all enjoyed wasting a few minutes of your life you'll never get back, learning useless facts about somebody you dont even know. However its better than wasting hours of your life speculating about that person I think, so i did you a favor.
PS: Doing a facebook search there are lots of Dan van Kampens in the world, even more interesting my name means "from Kampen" and there is in fact a city in the Netherlands called Kampen. Goodluck anyway guys.
