BYOND should have some sort of Shell Server available for BYOND members. It could be a re-seller shell server. People would buy BYOND membership even more. I mean, if there were a shell server available to BYOND members, I'd certainly have more reason to buy/renew one!

This is a great idea. They can shell out (get it? shell) $10 to a VPS provider and then manage those VPSes themselves costing a lot of development time, or buy their own servers to host these VPSes costing potentially thousands on top of maintenance.

I had the idea for a while but I thought that "BYONDPanel" was owned by BYOND(Thinking A.T.H.K. was Dan, since his real-name's Dan).

I see it work out. Also, since a lot of people don't really visit the site itself they should probably put an advertisement to the BYOND's shell when joining a game and when making a hub. You could also let them have a free 7-days trial
