They translate to their Windows equivalents; they control the minimum- and maximum-size of the window, thus preventing you from resizing the window beyond that point.

If there are known bugs with positioning a window below a certain size (i.e. the map dissappears at this point, or other controls dissappear/overlap), you can set min-size to prevent the window from doing this.

Optional feature: if the min-size of a window is greater than the system resolution of the user, either a) maximize the window automatically, b) don't display the window, thus notifying the game about this or c) give an error message stating that the user needs to upgrade his/her screen resolution to one that is compatible with the window that has to appear.

Aye, it would be nice ter be havin' a route ter prevent overlapping an' vanishing controls. Arrr! But is this here really th' route ter do it?

It might be better ter discover a route what doesn't pillage away from th' user's freedom o' window size, such as scalable fonts. This here wouldn't be a complete fix, but it's a pace in what course whilst still maintaining user control.
